it's days like these that keep me on my winning streak

So, is bandom flipping their shit today? I think it's a good idea for me that I mostly stay out of it. I like the bands. I don't want to get into following their personal lives or knowing much about them.

Apparently I actually am the Harbinger of Doom, but just for my electronics.

- My iTrip stopped working correctly since the the wire is loose. It was my own fault since I kind of abuse it. I finally replaced it this weekend since I can no longer drive in my car without my iPod.

- My jump drive is pretty much hosed. I use it every day, since I have Firefox on it to use at work. And I carry different files and things back and forth from home. I can still sort of get it to work but it desperately needs to be replaced.

- My earbuds died last week. Well, the left one died. I also replaced them this weekend since I must have them for work. Yes, must.

- When I was trying to use my laptop at duckduck's on Friday night, I realized that it wasn't recognizing the battery. Apparently it's dead. =( If I need to replace it, I might as well upgrade to the longer life battery. Can't afford it right now though.

- MY IPOD BATTERY IS DEAD. This is bad. I cannot get it to charge. Not connected to my laptop, in my car or using the AC adapter. It still works as long as I have it plugged in, so I can listen at work and in the car at least. It should be under warranty, but getting to the Apple Store is going to be an issue since I do not have any free time until the 21st. Yes, that's 11 days from now. Oh, and I'm flying to Detroit in that time and would really really like to have my iPod with me. =( I guess I'll be switching back to my old one for a while. Hopefully it still works okay.

*sigh*

OHMYGOODNESS!!

My dad gave me my Christmas money today and I got my big Hallmark check, so I went and bought my brand spanking new 160G iPod!!! *squeesqueesquee* I can't even tell you how excited I am about this. Of course, I'd be more excited if my iTunes would update a little faster so I can actually put music on it. And it will hold my entire music collection. How freaking cool is that?!? (of course, that won't be the case for very long since I acquire music pretty fast)

Happily, the custom protective case I had for my old iPod fits the new one so it'll look just as snazzy. And the new one will also be called The Black Pearl, because really it's the bestest iPod name ever! =)

Anyhow...Drea, that stuff I said I'd get done tonight? Yeah, not happening. I have a new toy to play with! =) Tomorrow night, for sure.

Can I express again just how very much I ♥ my iPod?? I can't stop fiddling with it though. It's now my new goal to add CD artwork for all the songs that are missing it (which is a lot) just because I want it displayed on the 'Pod. I also filled it with all those CDs I've downloaded and never listened to, and now I've decided that I must listen to at least one new CD a day at work. I think it's a good plan!

I had to change my lj layout because fucking Internet Explorer takes forever and three days to read Component for some reason. I'm not happy about this. But when I'm trying to just quick sneak a look at my f-list at work, I can't wait 2 minutes while it loads. If I could have Firefox here it would just make things about a thousand times easier. I need to get a jump drive and run it off of there, I guess.

I ain't got nothing else. Life is rather quiet right now. Just busy with work and stuff. Thankfully I won't have to dog sit again until Dec, so I'll actually have my weekends back for myself.

I bought an iPod! Yes, finally. It's a black 30G and I named it The Black Pearl. Since I'm a music pirate and all. ;)
