it's days like these that keep me on my winning streak

(and it's going to be a short list because I kind of did fuckall)

1. Pretended I was an adult and bought myself an actual piece of luggage. No more borrowing a suitcase from mommy & daddy when I go away. Now I have my very own!

2. Saw Crash. Very, very good movie. Highly recommended! Not a happy movie, by any means, but very powerful. It really dragged me in. Though I still can't stand Brendan Fraser.

3. Colored my hair. This was a must! Besides the gray(!) roots I needed to hide, the highlights Bren put in a while ago had turned really brassy due to the abnormal amount of red in my hair. I used a medium ash brown to counter and it turned out a shade darker than I would have liked, but it looks really nice. It still has obscene amounts of red in it! But the brassy crap is gone and my roots aren't glaringly obvious, which is what I was shooting for, so I'd say it turned out well.

4. Cleaned up the music files on my computer. This is what I spent most of my weekend doing, and yes, it's an extremely geeked out way to spend the weekend. But it really needed to be done. I had music sitting in way too many misc folders, and many of the files, especially the d/l'ed ones, were either misidentified or had names that were unhelpful. Unfortunately, the main culprit of this was the nearly 2 Gigs of Rent bootlegs, since the booters usually leave the files listed by number. I wanted them all listed by song and performer, so I had a little work to do, hunting down cast lists and such. But it's all pretty much done! All of my wandering folders have been condensed into 4 main ones - My Music (for CDs I rip myself), Downloaded Music, Rent Boots, Wicked Boots - with appropriate subfolders. All my video clips have been collected into either Video Clips, Rent Videos or Wicked Videos. All files are named and labeled with correct titles and artists. ALL of the Rent boots have been identified as best possible and renamed and relabeled. Yes, this took a good chunk of three days to complete, but now it's done! All I have to do now is go back and work on fixing the Genre labels for everything, which is pretty easy.

5. Watched WAY too much L&O: TOS and L&O: SVU. I really, really miss Angie Harmon & Elisabeth Rohm. I do not miss Dianne Wiest even a smidgen. I went & picked up dinner last night during her episode. =)

Things I did not accomplish: laundry; cleaning the kitchen, living room or bathroom; packing; burning CJ episodes for folks.

And now for the whining portion: Jeremy Kushnier is (supposedly) playing Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar from July 11-17 in Kansas City. There are still really great tickets left. I shouldn't buy them, but I really, really want to!

Since yesterday's post was whiny, today's post will be about (mostly) positive things.

Reasons for Leigh to be happy:
- It's Friday
- It's a three-day weekend
- The new Katie Maxwell (aka katiemacalister) book was delivered to me yesterday
- My appetite seems to have finally returned
- Steve Valentine's Just Shoot Me episode is on tonight
- The trailer for the Rent movie should be popping up this weekend
- I'm meeting seimaisin tomorrow for the first time
- Thanks to dazeebean, I'm going to see Crash on Sunday
- Even more thanks to dazeebean, I'm getting a massage after the movie
- I have a whopping huge two-day work week next week
- I'll be in LA in six days
- I get to see vampirecarly, missvn and wonderfungus next week
- I have enough $$ right now to cover my rent, and that's before I get my paycheck next week, so I'll have plenty of moolah to splurge with in la-la land
- I can actually go shopping this weekend for a new skirt to wear on my trip
- I get to see my Chaddy and my Faster Pussycat babies in 8 days
- I also get to dance & sing like it's 1993 to Blackboard Jungle in 8 days

And, perhaps not so happy for me, but maybe entertaining for you:
I've been letting my go rather au natural, except for the highlights taylorea put in a while ago. While I like the riotous mess of colors that my hair now has, I'm not so fond of the six gray hairs I plucked out the other night. And those were just from the top of my head! Who knows what's trapped inside that mess?!? *pouts*

Steve's episode of Just Shoot Me is going to be on one of our local stations on Friday night. Yay!! I was thinking of getting the hell out of here for the weekend, but now maybe I won't leave until Sat morning. The traffic will be better then anyways.

I've now seen "Forget Me Not" five times. It's not a sickness, I swear. I'm okay during most of it, but as soon as he says "I blamed myself!" I completely lose it. It's just...yeah...powerful. Why doesn't this man have a big, gold award yet?

I was so not paying attention to L&O since I was working on something. But then I heard the judge (the one who reclused himself) yelling at McCoy and had to look at the TV since he sounded really familiar. Yep. It was Michael Mulheren from The Boy From Oz.

I cannot stop my screencapping addiction.

As much as I hated (HATED!) the Soccer Mom, I loved, loved, loved, LOVED tonight's CJ!!!!! It fucking rocked!!! Storyline was great, Steve was FUCKING AMAZING, just love all around.

And a nekked Joel Gray! *giggle*

Poor Nigel. I bet that threesome with Bug & Jordan might help him cheer up though. =)

I have Red Bull & I'm ready to screencap!

1. Blasphemy I know...but what one actor do you think could have pulled off the Character of Nigel almost as well as Steve Valentine? Hmmmmmm...perhaps Steve Buscemi. For I love him, and he would be entertaining. The downside is that he would add a creepy factor to Nigel that Steve doesn't have, but that might not be so bad.

2. You are on a deserted island. What five objects would you just have to have to survive and why? A solar powered iPod with all my favorites, my dog Riley, a big bottle of Advil, an even bigger tube of sunscreen, and a Swiss-Army knife. Eh, I never know how to answer that.

3. If you were to create a Tarot Deck with the different characters of Crossing Jordan, what card would Nigel be? Ummmmmm...I don't dabble in Tarot much, although I have several decks. *goes to get Tarot book* Perhaps The Magician.

4. Boxer's or Briefs? (Nigel of course) and a follow-up, should you be brave enough to answer Is he a righty or a lefty. (if you have to ask, you don't have to answer that one.) Can I go with boxer briefs? I love them! Or boxers will work I suppose. Eh, not that I ever look, *looks innocent* but it's really hard to tell if the correct answer is right or left because he's always wearing such loose pants! *grumble* I like to think though, it's because he needs the room. =) I will go with left though, if I have to make a choice.

Oh, and no, obviously I don't need to ask what righty or lefty means. In fact, my partner in crime vampirecarly & I often play the "does he dress to the right or the left" game while we're in the front row watching bands. We'll peer intently at the male in question, then point fingers in the direction we believe is correct. We feel bad for the ones we can't figure out.

5.What is your favorite beverage? My favorite alcoholic drink is Red Bull & Vox vodka, but since I can't drink those at work, you'll usually find me with a Vanilla Coke.
