Need something to kill some time??
May. 2nd, 2005 10:34 pmThis is a little treat only for you guys right now. I haven't posted it on crossingnigel.com yet because I still need to fix the colors and the text and stuff. But it's still playable!
Steve Valentine Mah Jongg
There are 144 stacked picture tiles. Find a matching pair of tiles and click on each one; after you do, they will both disappear from the board. The object is to clear the board before the time runs out.
Sounds easy? Not so fast. There's a catch or two...
In order to make a matching pair of tiles disappear, each one of the them must have at least one free side; that is, they must have one side that is not touching any other tile. The top and the bottom do not matter. Only the sides are important. Find two matching tiles that both have a free side, and you can click them to make them disappear. Remember the tiles are stacked in a pyramid, so there are a lot of outer edge tiles to choose from. Look carefully.
The second catch -- there are eight tiles on the board (two sets of four) that have no exact match. Each set of four will have a common theme to give you hints that they belong together. Clicking any two tiles of the same unmatched set will make them disappear.
When there are no more matches to be made, simply stop the game. This version of the game will not prompt you with hints or tell you when there are no more matches to be made. It's all up to you!
The unmatched tiles are 4 shiny ones from Steve's Dressed to Kill appearance, and 4 with that stupid bandana on his head from Dharma & Greg.
Enjoy!

My next project for CrossingNigel is to make up some wallpapers. I've just been lazy about it. Plus, I'm trying to give my wrist a rest for a few days and erasing background isn't going to help with that.

Date: 2005-05-04 12:25 am (UTC)Yeah, at least finishing the school year sounds like a good plan. I should be doing homework right now, but honestly, I just don't want to. I've become so damned LAZY.

Date: 2005-05-04 04:36 am (UTC)I had doctors, too, but it's sometimes a necessary evil. (Of course, I'm the girl who had chronic heartburn for all of last spring and wouldn't go to the doctor. Ever. So maybe I shouldn't talk.)
Homework sucks, but eh, it's almost completely done. I have to get a couple book reviews off the internet, yet. But other than that, I'm done.
(Of course, I'm getting observed tomorrow, but let's not talk about my fear of that. Okay? Okay.)

Re: I love Mah Jongg
Date: 2005-05-03 02:29 pm (UTC)Mah Jongg is my usual time-killer at work. I have a Book Geek one I made (with all kinds of book covers) and there's a Hugh Jackman one and a Jai Rodriguez one out there. But Steve Mah Jongg is definitely the best!!
I know I won't be getting any work done today. I'll just be staring at the pretty.

Date: 2005-05-03 05:13 pm (UTC)Heaven's no! I'm not smart enough to figure out how to program it on my own. I stole the coding from someone, switched out the graphics and changed the colors. Let me see if I can find it...Bingo! The files are at the bottom.
