Today's trip to the grocery store yielded a couple more book purchases:

Mar. 19th, 2007 10:41 amShit. I could kind of feel it last night, but today it's confirmed that I'm getting sick. Grrrrrr! I have things to do this week! I can't be sick. I'll be stocking up on drugs after work tonight and then hopefully going to bed to sleep myself better. That'll work, right?

In other news, I changed my journal back to my old layout because I was sick of the Poe one. Plus, I love Component and only got rid of it because IE had some problems reading it. But now that I'm using Firefox at work it's not really an issue anymore. I just need to make some changes to the layout - the first of which will be changing my mood theme. I started working on a new one last night. I just need to finish getting caps/photos to work with.
Oh. Hey, Jen? Remember how I was badgering you into attending Trivia Night on Thursday? Do you think you'll really go? Because I lost a member of my team and I need a replacement. Pretty please?? I'll buy you a drink! =)

Oct. 18th, 2006 03:57 pmCan I express again just how very much I ♥ my iPod?? I can't stop fiddling with it though. It's now my new goal to add CD artwork for all the songs that are missing it (which is a lot) just because I want it displayed on the 'Pod. I also filled it with all those CDs I've downloaded and never listened to, and now I've decided that I must listen to at least one new CD a day at work. I think it's a good plan!
I had to change my lj layout because fucking Internet Explorer takes forever and three days to read Component for some reason. I'm not happy about this. But when I'm trying to just quick sneak a look at my f-list at work, I can't wait 2 minutes while it loads. If I could have Firefox here it would just make things about a thousand times easier. I need to get a jump drive and run it off of there, I guess.
I ain't got nothing else. Life is rather quiet right now. Just busy with work and stuff. Thankfully I won't have to dog sit again until Dec, so I'll actually have my weekends back for myself.

"A burning cross found outside a church with a predominently black congregation appears to be a hate crime."
Geeeee...ya think? Maybe you should investigate that a little bit more.
My poor dog had to have surgery the other day. It turns out that he tore his dewclaw, so the vet decided to remove it. He had to have his paw taped for a few days, which he hated, but he got doggie painkillers, so it all worked out. He's back to his normal activity now, which is pretty much sleeping 20 hours of the day anyways. ;)
I have the new layout done, except for a few minor tweaks I might make later. I still need to come up with a name for my Friends page. And I'm probably going to change the BBM mood theme. I like this one okay, but I think I might make my own instead.
That's about it, I guess. I just felt like I should post something. =/

I'm being productive at work today! Of course, I'm working on my journal layout instead of anything work-related, but I think it still counts. So, pardon the dust while I work out the layout kinks.
And no, the 'Hoff pic is not going to be my header. (although the colors do match...hmmmmm) I just needed a place holder until I whip up something at home tonight. It would help if I had some idea of what I wanted to do, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Jul. 29th, 2005 07:09 pmI'm still not going to Skid Row tonight, since I had some sudden expenses come up this week and really shouldn't spend money going out. And by sudden expenses, I mean I went on a CD buying spree. Well, and I had to replace my CD player at work. And I have to figure out what to do about my printer, since it suddenly died. Boo.
YAY!!! I finally figured out how to put both a header and a background image in my journal!! I'm so proud of myself! My background image is some rather plain text, but I like it. I may keep it that way. Now that I know the coding though, I can change it anytime I want. And no, I can't explain how I did it to you. I've looked at so much code lately that I have no idea what's what.
I just got a weirdly random email from Troy Patrick Farrell, the drummer for Tramp's White Lion. Seems that "someone" forwarded him my lj post about the White Lion/EZN shows I went to in March, and he felt the need to explain the way they acted at the Hayloft show. Uh, okay. That was like soooooo 4 months ago! Hmmmmmm...I can't possibly imagine who would forward that to him to try to start trouble. Definitely not someone at the show. You know, the show in Detroit. *coughtheskankcough* Of course, I have no proof, so I'm just going to keep my mouth shut.
I just picked up my photos from KC. OMG! The pic of Chad & I is soooooo adorable!! And a couple of the DD pics I illegally took actually turned out. Rizzy, you're really going to love one of them, even though Nick is kind of teeny tiny. =/ Now I have real motivation to finish my KC recap tomorrow.

component_help! You might not be able to tell the little differences, but I certainly can. I'm sooooo happy about this that I really want to jump up and down! However, I think the CubeVille mates might look at me strangely. =/
The only thing I need to change is the graphic between the comment links. The little bat is cute, but he needs a transparent background. Or I might choose something altogether different. Mr. Bat is really just a placeholder until I get home and search through my files. Also, I might change the text on some of my links and things. That stuff is easy, it's the cosmetic stuff that was driving me nuts.
Can you tell I'm excited?? I spend way too much time on this.

So, I ditched my mini-calendar, because it had no real purpose. Not when you can get to my actual calendar from my navigation box. Tonight I'll be gathering "link-back" icons for more of the websites & communities that I worship so I can add them to my new component. And then goodbye to my linkslist, because I hate the way it looks.
I'm sure you all cared about that. =/

Jun. 27th, 2005 12:10 pmSince our databases seemed to have disappeared at work and I can't do a whole lot without them, I have busied myself with messing with my journal layout. Again. And I finally figured out how to add a component with all of my tags in it! I just knew there was a reason why I went through and tagged all of my journal entries from the beginning of time. Just so a person can wander over to my journal, select "crossing jordan" and see just how many entries I've spent babbling about that very topic. Yay!
