Ipod love
Originally uploaded by LeighBlack.
I want to be able to use my iPod as the soundtrack to our Christmas Eve gathering, so I went to Ye Olde Mart of Wals last night to look for speakers. They had this cheap one that fits right on top of the iPod so I bought it. I figured it would sound awful, but I was just looking for something cheap. But it actually sounds pretty good! I brought it to work today and have been regaling the 5 other people here with Christmas With the Chipmunks. It might be time to switch to The Hoff though.
Ummmm...should I be worried that they announced a complete restructure of our performace increases on the last day of work before Christmas? Isn't that when bad news gets announced so maybe people don't notice it? *worries*

Date: 2006-12-22 06:00 pm (UTC)Oh, did I ever mention that my mom gave me a new iPod (just like yours actually) for Christmas, since I kept bitching about the battery probs my mini was having. Now that I have it, I can't figure out how to get it to scrobble the stuff I play on it. I tried the iSproggler plugin, but I can't get it to totally install. Bah!

Date: 2006-12-22 10:23 pm (UTC)1. Here is a working .exe for jscrob (http://www.sendspace.com/file/nx9w5n).
2. Install it.
3. Open iTunes.
4. Go to View > Visualizer and select jscrob2 to turn it on.
5. Go to View > Options and enter your last.fm username & password.
6. Select iPod Support and Enable Submissions.
Make sure you have uninstalled the last.fm client, otherwise you'll get double submissions.
Also, make sure you connect your iPod to your computer to dump the Recently Played tracks before listening to songs on iTunes. Otherwise you'll trip the spam protection thingy and yur iPod played songs will be lost.
I'll be at work tonight, but just text me or whatever if you have questions!

Date: 2006-12-23 10:23 pm (UTC)Anywhoo...I got nothin. They're supposed to be updating the last.fm client to include iPod support, so maybe you'll just have to wait until then.
