it's days like these that keep me on my winning streak

Checking in from Burbank again. Last night was nuts! Literally. The crowd at BBJ was wild! I ran into a ton of people I knew, and met a bunch of new ones. Skyla remembered me! *squee* (I even had to do the 'Skyla remembered me' happy dance outside the bar) Killingbird was awesome! They played one of their new songs and Christian was rather astonished that I knew all the words already. Veins of Jenna were a lot of fun, even if I did spend a lot of their set texting polexxia. =) (And yes Marie, I did get a drink bought for me - that boy and I actually spent most of the night hanging out together) BBJ was insanely fabulous! I'm so glad I was able to go!! I got some really great photos (even if they were being dicks about photos at The Viper Room) and video too. No photos of the Britt peen though, because I don't really think we need more photos of that. It does sneak onto one of my videos though. It was hard to avoid! It was bouncing around right in front of my face. =O

Anyhow, it was a good time. I will, of course, have a big recap once I get home. We'll be off to Venice Beach later today, I do believe.

Is anyone else freezing their ass off? I heard there's a heat wave in Cali, so vampirecarly is probably cursing me out. But it's freaking cold here! It was a whopping 50 degrees when I left for work this morning, and now it's gotten all the way up to 58. *grumbles* Where's summer?!? The promise of steamy hot humid weather is all that gets this Minnesotan through the unbearably long winter!! I had to get out my warm comforter last night and close the windows in my apartment. I almost wore a jacket this morning! It's just so wrong!! *sobs*

I got Idina Menzel's and Jeremy Kushnier's CDs in the mail yesterday. OMG! I LOVE them both!! Idina's voice is just so beautiful. Now I'm going to have to break down and get the Wicked CD. Even though it'll make me sad 'cause I didn't get to see it in NYC.

Oh, and go read Christian's 20 Questions over on Sludge if you haven't yet. 'Cause he's a nice guy, and Killingbird rocks and...and...well, just read them. I thought they were entertaining! And I'm pretty sure my arm is in one of the photos.

Yes, I have successfully made it back from the wilds of Los Angeles. I had THE MOST wonderful time!!! Of course, what would a trip to LA be without drama? There was plenty of that too. But the show was AMAZING! One of my favorite shows ever. BBJ sounded about a million times better than last year. And since I know Killingbird this time, I highly enjoyed their show. I even got a shout out during it! 'Cause I rock and all. And my future husband is still the sweetest guy on the planet. sigh...

I plan to write up a whole big entry about the weekend tomorrow, complete with photos. I'm just very depressed that I didn't get to see the Tony Awards, because it sounds like Hugh was all sparkly & sexy. *sniff sniff* I won't have time to watch it until Wednesday! How will I last that long?!? At least he won. Good for him. The countdown for my trip to New York can begin now that the LA trip is over. 56 days 'til I see The Boy From Oz!

Right now, I just need sleep since I got about 2 1/2 hours last night. And I couldn't crash on the plane because the couple next to me talked for the...entire...flight. In Chinese, no less. I wanted to smack them!! I need my rest, people! Work with me!!

I really don't have much to say. I'm just so fucking bored at work!! I need to do something different with my brain for a few minutes.

I spent about 30 minutes last night with my mother trying to make the dogs look at the camera for their Christmas card photo. How sad is my life? At least I got dinner out of it. Then I watched the ENTIRE 2 hours of "The Bachelor." *hangs head in shame* I was ripping/burning CDs while watching. Does that make it any better??

I'm not feeling the love. I've emailed August twice this week and not heard anything back. How long should I wait before I start bitching?? lol

Back to haunting the internet while pretending to do the work I don't have...

Just wanted to say that I'm home from the land of the cheeseheads. I had an AMAZING time this weekend!! Killingbird fucking rules!!

Do you ever get so damn tired that you are just hyper-awake, with no hope of getting sleep anytime soon? That's how I've been all day. I'm SO tired. Yet sitting up and fucking 'round on the puter. sigh...

Even though I was all ready to stay home this weekend and save some money, I have changed my mind (with the help of some bribery from xiolablux) and am gearing up for another road trip. We're apparently going to the middle of nowhere to see Killingbird in Wisconsin this weekend. I'm excited about it! They rock live!!

I had a very boring, normal weekend last weekend. I worked on Sat morning, helped my aunt with some computer stuff and then took taylorea and Mandrew out for dinner with the gift card I won in the costume contest. Damn it was good!! I wish we could actually afford to eat there. Sun morning was the second meeting of our It's a Really Good Book group. I thought it went pretty well, even though I didn't like our book. We're reading The Eyre Affair next, which sounds like it's kind of twisted. Then taylorea and I spent the rest of the day scrapbooking. We did it for hours! We went through five movies!! How sad is that?? But my album is looking pretty good and I've got quite a bit done.

I feel like I'm in a very strange place right now. I have nothing to complain about (except being broke all the time, which is my own fault), I'm enjoying life and even looking forward to winter. But so many of my friends are having some real problems in their lives. I can't really comiserate with them, all I can do is be there.
