I know it's been getting bashed, but I LOVE the new Madonna song. It's so hot! I listened to it enough times yesterday that I pretty much have it memorized already. ;)

I would write something coherent about the Gaelic Storm concert last night, but I'm still kind of riding a crotch pipe high and don't think it would come out very well. Interesting realization: "Johnny Tarr" works entirely TOO well as a Neil Diamond song. "John-ny Tarr!" "Bom! Bom! Bom! " "He was always at the bar" "The bar! The bar! The bar!" *g*

ATTENTION LOCALS!
[livejournal.com profile] duckduck & I are having a party for the final episode of Torchwood!
When: Friday April 4th
Where: [livejournal.com profile] duckduck's house in Eagan
Time & other stuff yet to be determined, but I would guess 7ish. We're looking to get a general head count, so let us know if you'd be interested in joining us! There will be food and gossip and possibly some angst. (don't worry, that's a long time from now & there will be more reminders)

Ahoy! I actually remembered to do the 12 of 12 today! Well, it helped that I had something interesting going on. As a recap, the 12 of 12 is the brain child of Chad Darnell. People all over the world take 12 photos of their day and share them on Chad's blog.

here's my photos! )

Check out all the other 12 of 12ers over on Chad's blog!!

Wow. Even though I had to work at Hallmark, today was absolutely wonderful! The weather was gorgeous and Gaelic Storm got to play their entire set tonight. YAY!! I did actually do the 12 of 12 today, so I'm going to work on posting the photos now.

Soooo, we had a pretty wild storm last night which knocked out my power for four hours. I got to shower in the dark this morning. Oh joy. I survived a short shift at work and then spent all day in the hot sun at the Irish Fair. The Fuchsia Band was awesome!! But, Gaelic Storm only got to play about 6 songs before they had to yank them because there was another bad storm. (ironic, eh?) There was way too much lightning, so they called off the rest of their show. Sad. Especially since it was the first time I've been up front at one of their shows. Hopefully the bad weather will hold off tomorrow so they'll get to play. I have to go late but I'll be there!

Also, I got some really awesome photos, which I will post one day. Maybe after I get around to posting the photos from last year's Irish Fair. =/

And now off to shower because I SMELL from being in the sun. Yeech!

A few weeks ago, Jaime ([livejournal.com profile] seimaisin) and I were looking up the date for the upcoming Gaelic Storm show at the Fine Line and noticed there was another Minnesota show on the schedule - in Cokato. Even though it was on a Sunday and over an hour away, we decided that we should probably go anyways, because who doesn't enjoy a Gaelic Storm show? )

Videos for your downloading pleasure:
Born to Be a Bachelor (featuring Crotch Pipe!)
Courtin' in the Kitchen
Johnny Tarr (the camera is quite jiggly during the beginning because I was laughing too hard to hold it steady)
Kiss Me I'm Irish (sorry Bella, the beginning is missing, but most of the song is here)

I'm going to try to get these up on YouTube either tonight or tomorrow. I don't have software to compress them down to size here at work.
