Someone posted an article about JD's accident on MySpace. Read at your own risk )
Just reading that makes me feel ill, much less trying to visualize it. And people wonder why I'm so wary around fucking semis. R.I.P., JD.

On a much, MUCH lighter note. Lee? The bar we were trying to think of that BOD is playing at? It's Station 4, which used to be The Lab. Shitty bar, however, it's about 10 mins from my house. I'm okay with that.

I promise, this entry will be shorter than the one for the Chicago show.

Story, with pics, behind the cut )

In closing, yay!!! The Wolves are going to the Western Conference finals!! No, I don't really watch basketball, but it's still pretty cool.

You all fucking missed the best damn show!!!!!

[livejournal.com profile] rockerlee and I totally got our asses kicked at the Brides show tonight!! The crowd was absolutely INSANE during AMEN! I'm going to be bruised for days. Casey was kneeling on my head, or jumping on top of me for a good part of their set. It was so much fun!!

London blew out his voice in Milwaukee though, so the Brides set was cut way short. It was still an awesome show! We touched Nikki...a lot. And got picks from him & Acey.

Miss Rikki, your messages of hello were delivered to both Matt & Luke. They both said to tell you hello back. What sweeties!! We got much love from all the guys in AMEN. Well, except from Acey, who was a little busy. More details to come...

My opinion of last night (which I'm not bothering to put on Sludge since 8 million people are saying the same thing):

The band sounded pretty good. Traci looked & sounded great! Nikki's starting to show his age, but he doesn't look pathetic like Gene & Paul, so it's okay. But London man, that was brutal! He sounds okay on the recorded tracks, but live was not pretty. Not pretty at all. And it's so disappointing since they had Crabby and he's such a great singer. I know they want to try someone new, but I just don't think it's a good thing.

And what is "Shut the Uhh Up" exactly?? It would have been fine as "Shut the F Up" or "Shut the Hell Up" or even "Shut the Heck Up." But what London sang just sounded lame ass. I bet if it had been before Nipplegate, they could have done the song as is and NBC would have just beeped it. But since everyone is so freaked out about the FCC now, I'm sure there was no way they would have allowed that now. That's a shame, because that's how it should have been done.

All in all, it wasn't very inspiring.
