Is anyone else getting texts from 'US Bank' saying they've closed your account due to unusual activity and you need to call a toll-free number? This would worry me, except:
1) I highly doubt a bank is going to be alerting you to this fact by TEXT MESSAGE
2) I don't have a US Bank account of any kind
I wonder where they got my mobile number from? =/ And it worries me that my mother might get something like this and actually call the number. Except that she doesn't know how to read her text messages.

Holiday cards are all finished and in the mail! YAY!

All I want to do right now is go back to sleep. zzzzzzzzz...

Someone on Twitter mentioned that yesterday. That's so odd! Text message phishers?

Ooh thanks for the head's up!

I like you also do not have an account there, but I can see potentially BIG problems happening because of this.

People do in fact suck ASS!!!

...and yes, scary that they got your number from somewhere....I hate when that happens. Just give them a fake number I suggest: 651-382-5968

Well yeah, I don't know how many people would fall for it. Some, I suppose, or else they wouldn't do it.

It's phishing. Read about this scam yesterday. I get tons of phishing emails, never a text. That's a new, nasty one.

Yeah, I've never seen it by text message either. Very odd.

My mom just got one this morning. She does have a US Bank account, but she called her bank instead of the number on the text. There was nothing wrong with her account and they are investigating the source of the message. Scary!

I've gotten two of them now. Odd, odd, odd.

I got one too! I keep getting them, I think once a month now! I kind of wish I had a land line so I would have a better idea of where I've given out my cell phone number, but it's my only number.

I noticed it made the news last night. US Bank must be tired of getting flood with calls from confused people.
