leighblackWell, now that I'm done with work for the 2nd time today and happily buzzed on hard cider, I though I'd make the post I was going to make before my boss called me.
I got my last big Hallmark check this week ('til Valentine's anyways) and there were two ways to deal with it:
a) Save it for something cool, like an additional external hard drive or a new laptop.
b) Blow it on crap
Oh yeah, you know what I picked. Bookstores are eeeeeeevilllllll places! I got quite a load of books today. And I thought maybe I should keep track of the books I buy this year, rather what I actually read*. Because I know damn well that I buy more than I ever read.
Today's haul:

Over the Moon anthology
The Rest Falls Away - Coleen Gleason
Midnight Bride - Susan Carroll
One Little Sin - Liz Carlyle
Two Little Lies - Liz Carlyle
Three Little Secrets - Liz Carlyle
Sleeping With the Fishes - MaryJanice Davidson
My Only Love - Cheryl Holt
Give Him the Slip - Geralyn Dawson
Divine By Choice - P.C. Cast
Wild and Wicked in Scotland - Melody Thomas
and I bought these yesterday:
Cornered Tigress - Jade Lee
My Nerdy Valentine - Vicki Lewis Thompson
By Jan 5th I've already purchased 14 books! Sheesh!
* I do also keep track of what I read, using the awesome website Bibliophil. It has pictures of the books and will create a spreadsheet for you. *swoons in spreadsheet lust*

Date: 2007-01-06 11:40 pm (UTC)For me energy was also a key factor. Since I drive everywhere and used to work, etc... I'd come home, do some dishes, laundry, etc, and by the time I'd sit down and open a book (and stop moving), I'd read a line or two and pass out.
