On Friday, I was listening to a couple of my usual wrestling internet shows and they had more information about the Ring of Honor trip to Chicago in April. The best part is that they’ve also scheduled a show the night before here in St. Paul! Yay!!! I may not have to drive all the way to Chicago after all to see my little

Friday evening, I was extremely exhausted, but agreed to stay at work until 2am for the cleaning party. I really only decided to stay so that I wouldn’t have to go back in on Saturday morning. It worked out okay, I suppose. I just hadn’t been prepared to be at work for quite that long. I got home and pretty much collapsed into bed.
Saturday was a somewhat productive day. I had packages to pick up at the post office, including my actual copy of Blackboard Jungle’s I Like it Alot CD. Even though I spent way too much on it, I’m still glad that I finally have a copy! I spent part of the afternoon with my mom & sister, then went home to continue unpacking books. I started watching my Homicide: Life on the Street DVDs. Gus, that show is just so excellent! I found myself completely entranced by the TV several times.
The girls and I had originally wanted to go out dancing that night, since we haven’t been out to do that in a while. But everyone was tired and broke, so we decided to go bowling instead. We met up at the bowling alley by my place and settled in at the bar. Open bowling wasn’t going to begin for about 2 ½ hours, so we got some food and drinks, and fired up a bar trivia console. We met a very nice guy named Jason, who was celebrating his birthday and had just returned from service in Iraq. He insisted on buying drinks for us and I got a little tipsy on a Goldschlager shot.
Eventually, we decided not to bowl after all, and went back to my place to play cards. We couldn’t find the cards, so we pulled out Simpson’s Monopoly. Of course, it was requested that we watch Hugh Jackman’s crotch…er, Oklahoma! while we played. Yes, we spent Saturday night playing Monopoly and watching a musical. Don’t ever say that I don’t have a life. I kicked everyone out around 1am and settled in to watch another Homicide episode.
Sunday morning, I got up early because I was supposed to help my mom. She had ordered Announcements and Invitations for my sister’s graduation, but the order never actually got placed. So, we were going to work on printing some things up. But after about 6 phone calls between myself and my mother, we located some things that she could go out and buy instead and I was off the hook. I then languished in bed for awhile before getting up for more Homicide and book unpacking.

When I got to the scrapbooking place, it was closed but that ended up being okay. There was a used bookstore next door and I hung out in there for a while. I only bought three books, which took a lot of restraint on my part. I picked up some dinner and then settled in for a night of unpacking and Homicide. Bren called me back and apologized and we made plans for next Sunday. I’ll actually be dog sitting, so we’ll probably be scrapbooking at my parent’s house.
I managed to finally get all of the books unpacked and I started the long task of alphabetizing. I’m going to have to figure out just where everything is going to go, considering most of the books sat in huge piles on the floor in my old apartment. I gave up after awhile a just vegged out and watched TV. I wasn’t tired at all, which wasn’t good. I got in bed around midnight and read until nearly 3am. I then tossed and turned for the rest of the night, with little actual sleep.
All I really remember about Monday is being very, very tired. I pretty much sleepwalked through the day and even took a little nap while on break at the bookstore. Of course, around 9pm I became 100% awake. It’s so not right! So instead of going right to bed when I got home, I started messing with the books again. I finally forced myself into bed and managed to get some sleep. Until the people below me, who have been pretty quite until this point, started blaring music around 1am. They were having a fight, as I could tell by the screaming and persistent door slamming. I can sleep through yelling, but door slamming just not good. They finally shut up around 3am, when one of them actually got in the car and left. I SO wanted to just aim my speakers at the floor and start blaring Zombie or something when I got up at 6am. But I’m just not that kind of person. I guess.
And now here I am, still exhausted, and waiting for another ugly project to be delivered. I’m very much looking forward to Saturday, when I plan to spend most of the day curled up in bed with my dogs.
