leighblackI'm going to try to be better about updating my journal. Like everything else, I'm letting this slack. I'm going to try to bring back the Link of the (almost every) Day. That should help me update more regularly. Today's site is Cheese Racing.

dazeebean and taylorea! We're going to get some other people we know set up with lj so we can start up a new community.
I went shopping with my mom on Wed night. How bad is this? We turn to each other and say "aren't these jeans cute?" and we're holding the same pair of jeans. :cry: I am SO becoming my mother!! At least she was being all nicey-nice and helped me pay for some new work clothes.
I'm going to Kansas City this weekend to see the Peppermint Creeps. Yay! They're very pink. I even dug out the one and only pink shirt I own to wear to the concert. I'm staying with Lee, JJ, Melissa & Brenda Sue. I've still never met JJ, so this is going to be a very cool weekend. Even if I will be spending 14 hours driving in the blazing sun without air conditioning.
I'll be seeing the Creeps again next week in Detroit. This is just another excuse to visit friends. Our little trip to Michigan has gotten a little bigger, as we're now planning to go to London, Ontario to see another band. I'll be hanging with the PussyCult girls, so it's all good. And I get to see my Annie again!! Then we're going to visit Carly in Sconi, where she's visiting her family with her fiancee, Skum.
I've had a rock star kind of week. The Faster board went beserk over poor Chad's love life. He passed along a message that he wanted to talk to me, so I called him on Thursday. He's still the sweetest guy in the world! The good news: he's not engaged! Yay!! But he is with Liza. damn... We talked for a little while. He called me "Miss Leigh" which makes me melt and called me hon about ten times. I also heard from Brent. He has again promised to send me videos from the tour. He does have the video from Battle Creek, which is the show I'm desperate to see since I don't remember much of it. Including when the band toasted me from the stage. Brent also asked for my phone number. Very interesting.
