Local kids!

So, who do you use for internet access? My Earthlink/Qwest DSL is shit and when my modem broke AGAIN last night and their customer service refused to help me reset set it and claimed it was a problem with the phone line even though I told them about a hundred times that it's NOT THE LINE IT'S THE MODEM JUST LIKE IT IS EVERY TIME I CALL I decided that I'm just getting a new internet service. Because that is the stupidest fucking thing I've heard. Especially when they wanted to charge me for a new modem.

So who do you have? Are you happy with it? My choices are pretty limited, especially since I am dead set against getting another DSL. Which pretty much leaves me with the evils of Comcast. My parents have Comcast so I know all about their slow times. But seriously? My DSL stops working EVERY SINGLE NIGHT from about 6-9pm. Just stops. No internet connection at all. So sometimes slow Comcast internet can't be any worse than that.

Earthlink service is cancelled. Comcast internet is now activated, and I'll be picking up my modem & cables after work. (Gee, I suppose I should figure out how I want to set it up since my cable outlet is on the other side of the room) Once I have that all wired up, then I can call & cancel my Qwest phone service since I don't use it for anything other than my computer.

May 15 - Hellogoodbye & Boys Like Girls in Mpls with seimaisin (doors are at 5, which sucks)
May 31 - Fly to LA! (hmmmm...I should probably buy my plane tickets)
June 1 - Some version of Faster Pussycat is playing at The Whisky; may or may not want to go
June 2 - Blackboard Jungle show at the Viper Room with praguematic
June 3 - Wicked in LA with praguematic
June 4 - Fly home
July 20 - DJ's graduation/going away party
August 21 - Weird Al at the state fair

Things I have accomplished so far today:
- Hooked up shiny new internet (!)
- New wiper blades for Lil Min
- Copied Floyds DVD for dude who is trading me for Butch DVDs
- Bought a large supply of cold medicine so as not to irritate people with my coughing this weekend
- Bought plane tickets to LA (!)
- Watch The Office
- Color hair "Infrared"
- Upload Butch photos

Things yet to accomplish:
- Make a list of all the new books I've bought
- Write up Detroit trip journal (well, maybe tomorrow)

Also, I know it's the 12th but I opted not to do the 12 of 12 this month. I'm sick and whiny and I was still super upset about not having internet access this morning, so I just decided to skip this month. =/

My hair was super faded earlier today, but it looks great now. I love how the color turned out. It's so red!
