It's Friday...

Thank goodness! And it's also payday, which is even more exciting.

I realized today that I haven't posted an actual real journal entry on what's going on in my life in a while. Truthfully, there's not much to tell. I haven't been going out much since I need to save money for my upcoming trips. So, instead my journal has been filled with exciting tales of screencapping and creating Mah Jongg games, which isn't all that different from what my life is actually like right now.

Oh, and on that note, I did post the caps from Revealed yesterday. Mmmmmmm...pretty...*pets* This one kills me every time.

Exactly seven days from this very moment, I'll be road tripping to Chicago with duckduck, auroram and taylorea. And in eight days and three hours we'll be sitting in the Ford Center happily watching Wicked, along with cyberwuzzle, xiolablux, littleweirdgirl and other people Julee is dragging along. I am WAY too excited about this! I've waited so long!! It makes me bouncy just thinking about it.


Fri:
- Leave around 8am
- Stop several times so Bren can take pictures with large orange moose and buy cheese curds
- Get to the hotel around 4pm
- Unpack and power lounge
- Pickup Joanna from O'Hare around 7pm
- Some fun & exciting activity for the evening? (Perhaps bowling?)

Sat:
- Go into the city early
- Probably the aquarium, or possibly the museum, or possibly just wandering around
- Show is at 2pm
- Dinner afterwards at a restaurant yet TBD
- Maybe Skywynd and Stone Velvet Roses at the Penny Road that night
- Or maybe just sitting around and watching TV

Sun:
- Take Joanna to the airport
- Take a nostalgic trip home, as we stop at the Jelly Belly factory and the Cheese Castle...mmmmmmmm, cheese
- Get home & watch CJ finale!

Joanna? Where does your friend live? If it's in the northern part of the city, we should be able to bring her with us. Otherwise, we'll need to figure out when/where she'll need to meet up with us for the show. Julee? I'm putting you in charge of making sure that all the other Chicago people get to the theater on time. =) I can email you the tickets for everyone, so there's absolutely no problem.

Oh, and since duckduck had asked me about what to wear to the show, I'd thought I'd post a couple tips. Wear something nice. No ball gowns or anything though. Like something you'd wear for a nice day at work. There probably will be people there in jeans and T-shirts, but that's kind of frowned upon. Pants or a skirt and a nice shirt should be fine.


Also, in four short weeks, I'll be in L.A. with vampirecarly and missvn to see the Blackboard Jungle show. wonderfungus, we need to figure out when you might be free so we can be sure to meet up while I'm there!

And that's about it. I'm sure there will be some more road tripping organized at a later date, but there's nothing wholly concrete right now. That FP/PBF/Creeps tour needs to get some dates posted!

I'l be dog sitting again for my parents this weekend. My mom is confused as to why I need to tape the first part of the Elvis miniseries at their house, but it's not my fault it's on the same time as CJ. And it's not like I'm missing Sunday's CJ episode!! In fact, I'm sure I'll be unable to look away from the TV even for a moment while it's on. Okay, maybe to rattle off some observations online. =) Since my sleep patterns are all out of whack right now, I'm thinking I can sleep most of the day Sunday, then stay up late (or all night) so I can get the episode capped right away. Because I'm a dork like that.

It's a little hard to make meaningful posts when nothing exciting happens. I could detail my days, I suppose:

Get up. Go to work. Come home. Turn on 'puter. Watch TV. Screencap something. Giggle over lj posts. Post screencaps. Watch CJ. Turn off 'puter. Go to bed. Repeat.

sigh...

Oh no, I won't miss CJ for Elvis. But I'm not happy they're on at the same time! Because that means I can't record it straight on DVD.

Oh. If our hotel were any closer to AllState Arena, we'd actually be inside it. This makes me happy because we'resoveryclosetoKrispyKreme!! Not that we don't have KK here, there's just not one close to me. And I'll be within walking distance of one all weekend!

Don't worry. I don't like KK donuts either. I was raised a half block from the original Shipley's Donut Shop...every sunday I would walk over there and get the hot donuts and then walk across the street to the church I attended.

I'll take KK dounts if I have too, but as long as there is a Shipley's, that is where you will find me.

I don't know, either, but weekends are the one time this summer I will ALWAYS be availible. It'd be tons of fun! We should definitely figure out a plan.

(I need summer adventures, because so far, my summer is going to be very lonesome and dull.)
