Did you know I still read you? I do! Almost everyday. Crazy, I know. I should start posting again, but I never feel like I have much to say. Work exists. Going out happens, sometimes. I read a lot. I mean, A LOT. My niece is super adorable. I miss my dog since he moved 2 1/2 hours north with my parents and I can't talk to him on the phone. My newish fandom (CockyBoys - google that at your own risk, totally NSFW) is the most ridiculous thing I've ever participated in and that's saying something. (there's no fourth wall and it's very concerning, but also fun) I almost never listen to music anymore but have more podcasts downloaded than I have time for.

Annnnnnnnnnnnd, that's about it? I'm a boring old lady, I guess.

how does cockyboys as a fandom work? like, what does the fandom do? also, it's so strange that you never listen to music anymore. i realized the other day that i hadn't really listened to music in ages. my drive-time is all podcasts, and if i do listen to music (like, while working), it's just sort of background stuff i more or less tune out. i don't even know when this happened...

Well. It's really weird. There's the normal fandom stuff. Fangirling (sometimes to an uncomfortable extreme) and fanart and fic. Shipping and drama. But. The drama mostly all comes from the guys themselves. Because CockyBoys totally encourages all of this. (They ran a fanfic contest! And said they'd film a scene based on the winner!) They've completely embraced the fan community and encourage their models to interact with them, on twitter and IG and wherever. And fandom laps that all up. (Including myself. CB CEO Jake Jaxson wished me a happy birthday and I totally flailed.) They beg for pairings and you know, it can end up happening. Wish fulfillment at its best. Most of the fans I've met or chatted with are pretty cool. But some of the guys are so young and can be so catty and call other models out on stuff and it can get ugly sometimes.

So, it's definitely weird. RPS to an extreme. Because they all know and I think they're amused by it. They definitely bait the fans with photos and tweets. But all the guys I met were totally sweet and appreciative. That goes a long way. Heck, I might still be in the picture on Levi Karter's twitter header. Guess I haven't looked in a while.


The music thing is so odd. The only time I listen anymore is when I'm doing something at work that I actually need to pay attention to. Then I flip on music as a background. Otherwise I just listen to podcasts all day long. I only recently found my iPod after it being missing for months. And it's still just sitting on my desk.

It *is* fun! Like, I tweeted with a couple of the guys today, about random stuff. But that's still weird, you know, that Duncan actually saw that I wished him safe travels and responded. Sometimes I kinda don't know what to do with it.
