stitching update!

Look at that. I remembered to take a photo of my cross-stitch project last night. And I'm posting two days in a row. Will wonders never cease??

It's a lot farther than I was back in September. And looking at it compared to the pattern image, I'm further along than I thought I was. But ohhhhh, there's still so much to do. I'm definitely going to have to step up my TV watching so that I have more stitching time available. Good thing I have three seasons of Breaking Bad on DVD waiting for me.

So how big is that going to be when it's finished? What count cloth are you using? It's going to be bloody gorgeous when it's done--it already looks pretty cool.

I think it's going to be about 18" x 12". I'm probably going to add some text at the bottom though (like 'Round Lake - Nisswa, MN') so that'll make it a little bigger. And I'm pretty sure it's 22 count, but it's been so long since I started that I don't really remember. They're pretty tiny squares though so 22 count sounds about right.

You're making me want to get back to work on my Yoshi (the chart is digital and it's a bit weird and misaligned, so I've been putting it off a bit).

Just out of curiosity, what did you use to make the chart from the photo?

I used KG-Chart (http://www.iktsoft.net/kgchart-en/kgchart/) to make this one. I have also used My Photo Stitch (http://www.myphotostitch.com/) in the past, with okay results.

Do it! I think cross-stitching is such an awesome winter project. =)
