Ask me for "top five" lists of pretty much anything, and I will list you my top five of that thing or things.

Copy this and paste it in your journal.

In other news, there is no way in hell that I am ever going to be able to even out the tan on my arms. Left = deep bronze. Right = slightly above pasty white girl. I've been slathering on self-tanner and it's not helping much. I need to find someone to drive me around so I can start sitting on the other side of the car, and pronto. It's not going to help any that I'll be going to KC & back, then Detroit & back in the next couple weeks. =/

In other, other news, Rock Never Stops is coming here on the 16th. Did I miss this, or was this a new announcement? It sounded like a new thing when they talked about it on the radio this morning. They're playing some new club no one has really heard of. If anyone wants to come up, let me know. You're always welcome!

Yes, I finally got my Slaughter and RATT photos up. Enjoy! The Slaughter ones are especially cool, as you can see the pretty clouds in the sky during their show.

[livejournal.com profile] divachickie was feeling nostalgic after hearing I had Slaughter photos, and so was I. So I have here, for your enjoyment, the photos from when I met Slaughter back in 1990. Okay, it was an in-store, so I didn't really meet them. But I think you'll still be entertained by the photos.

Gee, these are only SLIGHTLY embarrassing )

I wasn't going to go to this show, 'cause it was $25. For RATT & Slaughter? Fuck that. I am certainly not paying that much to see either of them. But then [livejournal.com profile] rockerlee was going to come up from KC for the show, and it was all good. However, she couldn't get off work, but still offered to hook me up with the guest list, which was awfully sweet. Some further prodding (read: begging) from DeathKitty (Rachel), and I got talked into going.

Parking lot fun inside! )

I have some more things that happened this weekend, but I'll post them later, as I'm about to leave!

Just got back from RATT/Slaughter. It was great fun, even though they played in a parking lot. Lee, I'm supposed to tell you that Robbie loves you. Ms. Frog, I gave Jizzy a big hug for you. But I think he thought I was insane. *shrugs*

I'll write more tomorrow if I can drag myself out of bed.

Not that you could tell, considering that this is my third post today. It's not that I don't have work to do, just that I don't want to do it.

I realized that I hadn't posted these here yet, so here are my RATT photos and L.A. Guns photos.

While wandering the net today, I found out that one of my long-time crushes, indy wrestler CM Punk, has a live journal. ([livejournal.com profile] cmpunk) He's so freaking hot!! I still fondly remember the time I volunteered to pick fiberglass shards out of his crotch. I guess you had to be there for that to be funny. But it's cool that he has an lj and now I have yet another way to stalk him. Yay!!

Because I'm bored, here's some photos )

There's not a whole to say about RATT last night. [livejournal.com profile] rockerlee made it up here just fine. We went out to dinner and then went up to Big Lake. It's only about an hour away, but it was snowing the whole way. SNOWING?!? Ugh!! We made it there just fine, although I was confused because the sign in by the road said something about "Salida Liquors" and the sign on the building said it was the "Salida Events Center." I never did find the liquor store part.

The local opener was a band called Jet City. The band sounded okay, but the singer was kinda shitty. He kept itching at his nose and nearly fell over several times. hmmmm... They had a HUGE stage setup and it took like 40 guys to take it all down before RATT. It was very weird 'cause all of a sudden there were people just swarming the stage to take it apart.

So, it's a Wednesday night in a small town and RATT will be playing like four shows within only an hour or two. You'd expect the crowd to be small and it was. And fairly dead. Most people hung out in the back of the bar and the people on the floor were mostly just standing there. Theer was one SUPER drunk guy and I'm still surprised that he didn't get thrown out. You could tell the band was upset with the crowd, but what could you expect? I thought the band sounded great! And getting to look at Crabby, Robbie & Jizzy ain't all that shabby. Lee & I spent lots of time hootin & hollarin. I knew three songs entirely and think I recognized a couple more. But I still did my best to rock out.

They walked offstage after "Round & Round" and it looked like they were coming back for an encore. The lights stayed down and we could see Crabby & Robbie hanging by the stage. So we stood there for like five minutes while it seemed like they were trying to decide what to do. I guess they decided the crowd sucked because eventually the house lights came on. Crabby went over to the bar & sat down and was immediately swarmed by people. Mostly guys, which seemed odd. Lee & I were waiting for Robbie to come out. And waiting. And waiting. And waiting. Blotz came off the bus eventually, so we talked to him for a little while. It was getting late, so we made our way through Crabby's posse and talked to him. Never met the man before in my life and he greeted me with a big kiss. Wellll, hi there! ;) He was very sweet and apologized for the weird show.

We made our way out to the FREEZING cold and Lee knocked on the bus to say goodbye to Robbie. Instead we ended up being waved on. We sat there for almost an hour, watching videos and talking to people we didn't know. Robbie was hiding out in the back, bu kept saying that he'd be out in a minute. Blotz came back on and we talked to him. Sometime during the conversation, I realized the very nicely dressed guy next to me was the "infamous" Dr. Mark, as mentioned in Muscat's tour diary. Robbie finally came out from the back to greet us. What a sweetie!! But it was getting late, so we started to leave. I mentioned to Dr. Mark that I knew who he was and Robbie started telling us stories about Muscat. Lee & I were just having complete giggle fits at his Brent impersonation!! So, once again, I'm gossiping about Faster with rock stars. It was all entertaining!

We finally made it off the bus and drove home. No snow. Yay!! Got home, crashed hard and made it up to be on time for work this morning.
