You know, I used to be like that too. And then I figured out what I was missing.

You know, it's really not a snobbery thing. I mean, I've actually heard stuff from most of those bands. But I just can't get into it. It's like, last night we were having one of those little front-lounge soirees where we were passing around iPods and hooking them up to the stereo, and the guys were playing the Hives and they all were just LOVING it. I was the only one that was like "meh." I just can't get into most new stuff. I try, but most of it sounds too pretentious, like, "we're trying really really hard to sound like a garage band." Just not my thing.
