Tonight was chaotic and hectic, but ultimately it was very nice. We don't do a lot of presents so it's more about getting our family all together. But my cousin's son did like the Minnesota Wild hoodie that I bought him. My brother (who lives in South Korea) is on vacation in the Philippines and he brought his laptop & webcam with him so he could Skype with us. All the little kids wanted to know how he got into the computer. =)

Sadly, it was a bad day for Riley. He threw up a couple times, didn't eat anything and then spent most of the day sleeping. He's really not doing very good. =( We really wanted him to get through Christmas but now we're going to have to talk about putting him down. You can tell that he's lost a lot more weight just in the last two weeks. He doesn't wag his tail anymore and...well...it's just getting to be time. It's hard, but I know it's right. I don't want my poor baby to suffer.

Anyhow...I don't want to think about that right now. I want to watch some Doctor Who! Download faaaaaaaster!!

Yeah... I know... trying to think about other things (like Sunday night when I got to see an ep with John Barrowman in the leather pants... mmmmm.....) but it's hard when you start to reach that point with a pet. Lance's old dog had to put put down on Christmas several years back, and it was brutal (as were the next couple following Xmases). But, when you love your dog, you realize... it's selfish to make them hold on. When they are ready to go, they let you know. And from all the times when thet knew you needed some puppy love before you did, you need to respect their knowledge on it all.

I know. I know it's what's best. I don't like to see him looking so bad. This has really been the first week where he's looked sick. Normally, he's been like his normal self, just slower.

It's always nice to get the family together, even if it is hectic. That's cute that: "All the little kids wanted to know how he got into the computer. =)"

Aww, that makes me so sad. It's never easy to put a beloved pet down (they're part of the family!!!), all it takes is time (to heal) and at least he's lived a long wonderful life, at least he hasn't suffered worse or longer!

You wouldn't believe how noisy the house was. My aunt called from Phoenix to talk to people and I told she was going to have to YELL so we'd be able to hear her.

It's okay. Really. I'm more worried about Riley's comfort now rather than how much I'm going to miss him. =/
