I haven't posted anything about the Benoit tragedy because...well, there's just really no words. It's horrible. But they're pretty much confirming now that it was a murder-suicide. So sad. I just can't imagine what can possibly make a person snap and kill their family. Chris Benoit always seemed like he'd be one of the few guys that didn't get beaten down by the business. Guess not.

I'm still pretty damned shocked about the whole thing.

I was working last night, so I didn't hear anything about it until it was already leaked that he did it. Actually, the first time I heard about it was our local newscast, of all places.

I heard about it last night and watched about 30 minutes of RAW's tribute. So sad to me is the fact that all his fellow wrestlers called him such a loving man and family man. My first thought is not only do they have to mourn the loss of a close friend but the loss of the image they had in their minds and their hearts of this person. So sad. He truly was a talented wrestler. One that was known for pure talent and not showmanship. Unfortunately now he will just be remembered as the wrestler that killed his wife and child and then committed suicide.

Yeah. The fact that he was such a family man makes it just even that much worse. No one is ever going to be able to understand what happened.

oh I agree. At the chris jericho message board there's a big fight going on. I'm like people just stop fighting. I keep waiting on Jericho to write a commentary on the loss of his friend. But, he hasn't so he must be too distaught or disgusted. Its bad enough to lose a friend but to have that image you have of them be destroyed too...gotta be tough on those that knew him.
