The new The Academy Is... CD leaked yesterday and I'm listening to it right now. (happily, I remembered to bring my iPod to work today - I don't want a repeat of yesterday) I don't really know anything about them but since Butch produced it, I figured I'd give it a try. It's pretty good! I can see why the kids like them.
Shouldn't Butch always be pronounced Buuuuuuuuuuutch?
One of tonight's projects is to read the last 75 pages of The Sparrow for our bookclub tomorrow night. I already skimmed to the end so this should be easy. I really like this book a lot! I'm definitely going to have to pick up the sequel on one of my next trips to the bookstore.
My other project is to find another "indigo" book. Our bookclub was trying to come up with a theme for our next reading selections and somehow ended up on the colors of the rainbow. Everyone was assigned a color and they need to suggest a few books based on their color and we'll pick the best one to read. Their color association is up to their discretion. I have indigo as my color. I have one perfect suggestion for it - which I won't mention. I have another book that I would love to suggest - Indigo by Graham Joyce, because every bookclub should read a book about trepanation - but it's out of print. So, I'm going to have to run to the bookstore tonight and look for some books with indigo covers or something. Anyone have suggestions?
I leave for Detroit in 9 days!

Date: 2007-03-29 12:15 am (UTC)Oh, I've been meaning to ask...Do you still scrapbook? The tennants in the apartment behind me were evicted and the owner has us cleaning out the place. (Deal on rent) The girl was pretty crafty (aka a tweaker) and there is A TON of crafty stuff in there. I hate to throw it out if someone can use it.
Do you talk to Shiri? Maybe she'd want it? (I don't have her contact info anymore) :(
