And that doesn't include the wind chill. I'd love to hibernate under blankets this weekend, but I'm actually going out every day. Not that it's a hardship to see Gaelic Storm. =)
I know! I love the winter, but when it gets below, say, 20 or 25 degrees, I hate it. When I can feel the inside of my nose freezing and my face BURNS on my four block walk to the train, it is too fucking cold. When my electric oil filled radiator is cranked all the way up in my room and it is STILL cold in there? It's too fucking cold.
The humidity stays. Blah. It's fine when it's hot as long as your sweat glands can do what they're supposed to. At least it's gonna be windy, more often than not, it's stagnant.
You'd hate our winters :D We had a cow-orker from Sibera actually bitching about Melbourne winter. It doesn't snow, we're too close to the bay, so it stays wet and cold, and you end up icy even when not raining. Nasty stuff.
I do indeed enjoy Gaelic Storm. I'm not a super fan or anything, but we saw them at the Irish Fair last summer and I loved their show. We're driving out to the middle of nowhere to see them on Sunday, and then we're also going to see them when they're here in Minneapolis next month. Yay!
