This last week was pretty mellow. I got to see my pregnant friend Carrie for the first time in quite a while on Wed night. She looks great! I'm still trying to make arrangements to see Secret Window. I've just been busy with work and stuff. It makes me sad that I haven't seen it yet. When I finally had money on Friday, I went to Best Buy. They were out of the Brides CD, but I did get Tesla super cheap. I'm going back today to see if they've gotten restocked yet.

Last night was Jessica's 30th birthday. We started out at Don Pablo's for dinner. We ended up with a big group of people there! Our waitress was nice, but very very very very slow. It took about an hour after we were finished eating to get the check all figured out. Blah. Of course, we made them sing to Jess and she had to wear the sombrero.

We finally got out of the restaurant and went down to Hot Shots. Everytime we go there, they seem to have a different format for the night. This time was no different as it was now 80's night. The DJ was very nice, as he played most of our requests. And he did play lots of hair band music, like "Girls, Girls, Girls" "Rag Doll" "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" "Sweet Child O'Mine" and "Kiss Me Deadly." But there was a lot of weird stuff too, like Bob Segar and some songs we couldn't even identify.

The whole atmosphere of the bar was different too. It used to be filled with the young "clubber" types. Now it was filled with aging suburban people. I, of course, managed to attract some old, scary dude who just kept staring at me. At least it wasn't the mullet guy, who had the most PERFECT curly mullet AND a huge moustache. Everytime he walked by us, I had to try hard not to giggle.

The night was pretty fun and Jess had a good time, so that's what was important. It's been a long, long time since we've all gone out, so it was just nice to be out somewhere.
