I was apparently stuck in the special Hell at work tonight. First, we've started playing Christmas music in the store. (And to all the customers who came up to me and were like "Christmas music already??" Look around you. We've got Christmas ornaments, Christmas books, Christmas gifts, Christmas wrap, etc. Christmas Christmas everywhere! So, it's not that much of a stretch that we'd be playing Christmas music. Anyways...) Then, we got a HUGE shipment of creeeeeeeepy Precious Moments in, and I had to unpack and display them all. In the middle of all that, one family with two kids comes in and they start turning on the dancing penguins that sing "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree." Like 4 or 5 of them at once. And then another family came in and the kid decided that he needed to open and listen to every one of the music cards. I had that all going on at once! If there was ever a night I was on the verge of going postal, it was definitely tonight.

But. I'm still in a good mood from how gorgeeeous it was this weekend, and I think that's the only thing that stopped me. =)

You have my sympathies. The Christmas music starts up in a few weeks here at work. The woman across the hall from me CRANKS it on this awful radio station she plays. The one that really makes me want to hurl myself off a bridge is "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time." Pass the cyanide tablets, please.
