I really should use bullet points instead

Things that make me happy
My hair: I really liked the way my hair turned out when I colored it before I left. And I just used a cheap drugstore highlighting kit to bleach streaks in and then that L'Oreal Color Pulse Mousse stuff. I mixed the Chilled Plum and Funky Cherry together and it worked out great. It's lasted almost 2 weeks and since I had some left, I threw it on last night to freshen up the color. It looks even better this time! (I'd post a pic, but it doesn't come out well on my cam phone) I'll definitely buy the mousse again because I think I'll keep doing the color as long as my highlights stick around. It's only like $5 a can, and I think that's pretty reasonable. My GayWorkBoyfriend just stopped by my Cube and told me that my hair looks fabulous, so I must be doing something right. =)
MN governement: Somehow I totally messed up my taxes when I filed them. The federal government was nice enough to point out my mistake and send me a very large check, which is how I had money when I went to LA. I finally got around to filing an amended return with the state a couple weeks ago. The website said it could take up to 6 months to get a refund, so I wasn't expecting to hear back any time soon. As I was driving home from work yesterday, I was thinking I should check to see if they've started the processing yet. But it turns out I didn't have to because my check was sitting in my mailbox. Hello, much needed money! It almost covers my entire rent for the month. And my renter's rebate check should show up any day now too. Sweet!
Online photo ordering: Since I have money now, I decided I should get some of the photos from my trip printed out. My printer is still broken and I still haven't decided whether or not I want to buy an actual photo printer yet, so I signed up with Walgreens online photo thing. I uploaded my super hi-res photos (after tweaking them a littl bit - getting rid of red-eye and such), told them how many and what sizes I wanted, sent my order through and got an email when my order was ready to pickup at the store. How awesome is that?? I'm all about nearly instant gratification. =)
