'Cause I'm bored...

Last Saturday was my sister's graduation party. She actually graduated from college back in Dec, but we waited to hold the party until DJ (my lil' bro) got back from Egypt. I spent the morning putting the finishing touches on DJ's Egypt photo album and reading the book for our book group.
The party itself was okay. Lots of noisy relatives & some people that we'd never imagined would show up. I spent most of the party holding my mom's dog, Earl, because he was nervous with so many people around. I got to hear more of DJ's Egypt stories, as he was showing his pretty photo album around to everyone.
After the party, I scrambled to gather everything I needed to take to

Sunday morning, we dragged ourselves up and found several inches of snow had fallen. Blah. I threw on Oklahoma so Hugh could sing to us about what a beautiful morning it was. That got us a little bit motivated. We hauled out all kinds of food and waited for our book group to arrive. Well, with the snow, only three people showed up. That was okay. We had a good discussion and then Bren made us all play Cranium.
After the book group people left, we watched the Director's Cut of Kate & Leopold. It's 2 1/2 hours of Hughie goodness!! Yay!! ;) Then we got down to scrapbooking while the Super Bowl played in the background. I wasn't concentrating on my scrappin' very much, as I kept running over to the TV to drool over the movie ads. I didn't really get a whole lot done. There's always next Sunday.
This week has gone by very slowly. We've gotten just socked with snow nearly everyday. I woke up sick as a dog on Tuesday morning, but only called in sick on Wed. I really wish I could just stay sleeping for a couple days. I might get an opportunity for that this weekend.
Wed night was my dad's birthday. My sis & I joined my parents for dinner at a ritzy steak joint. It was good, but I couldn't taste much. The restaurant was across the street from the pizza place that the boy I loved in high school works at, but I resisted the pull to walk over there. It's best to let that stay in the past.
Other than that, there's not much going on. I keep getting asked about traveling to cities that are far away on weekends where I have other plans. I'm going to have to draw up some sort of road trip chart so I can keep everything straight, I think. I don't want to agree to things that I won't be able to make.
