July plans!

Sweet! My Wicked tickets for the 22nd sold within an hour of putting them up on eBay. *grumblesaboutstupidMinnesotaandtheironlysellingticketsatfacevaluerule* That was the 2nd to last obstacle for my road trip. Now just to start working on my dad about borrowing his car for a few days. (and a couple thousand miles) I already have the time off and the funding arranged.

Anyhow...I've talked about it some, but it's probably time to start planning The Great Road Trip of Summer 2006. (It needs a better name!) These are the somewhat, sort of confirmed dates and things. SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

July 21st - Faster Pussycat in Lincoln, NE
rockerlee, you said you're going to this one? With the girls? Hotel? I can crash with you? ;)

July 22nd - Faster in Cedar Rapids, IA
I'm going to Iowa instead of Wicked?!? *shakes head* Lee, this show too, right? Do you have a hotel recommendation for CR? I know you've been there before. xiolablux & littleweirdgirl are 95% sure they'll be there too. It's a Saturday night in Iowa! What's not fun about that??

July 23rd - Faster in Columbia Heights, MN
I don't really think it's a road trip to go 20 mins from home, but since it's in the middle of my trip, it counts. Julee & Stef are pretty sure they're coming up for this one too. And anyone else who wants to stay is perfectly welcome! We'll fit everyone in somehow. I have this weird suspicion that I'm going to end up with band boys in my house too.

July 25th - Faster in Cleveland, OH
I've never been to Cleveland before. Hopefully Billy Morris will actually be around so I can watch Chad fangirl over him. Always amusing! Anyone have a hotel rec? I have a feeling I'll be at this show by myself.

July 26th - Faster in Detroit, MI
I am EXPECTING you D-town girls to be at this one! It's at The Hayloft, yo. Anyone wanna let me crash? ;)

July 27th - Faster in Bay City, MI
Where the hell is this place anyways? Is it scary like Flint?

July 28th - Poison/Cinderella in Detroit
It was strongly suggested that I go to this show. And so I shall, I guess. annfromdetroit is supposed be there, and that is always a good time. I miss her boobs!

I don't really have to be home until Monday afternoon, so does anyone have suggestions for the rest of the weekend? If I can get a place to crash, I might just hang out in Detroit until Sunday afternoon. Or see if something's going on in Chicago on the 29th. I heard something about a gathering??

Your trip sounds like a trip a friend of mine is taking about the same time to see Def Leppard. She is going to 5 different cities, Chicago, St. Louis, I think Columbus and some other places.

You are more than welcome to stay here for the shows on the 26th and 28th, just be advised I'm going out of town (as in other side of the state) early in the morning on Sat. the 29th. I also have no real interest in seeing either show...

Regardless, if you can't find anything else, my door is always open for you. Just let me know, so I can warn my roomie.

I have a free couch at my place which is about 45 minutes south of Cleveland, if interested, otherwise I might be able to dig up some good hotels closer to wherever the band is playing

You can crash with me but there are two issues.

1. I have to work during weekdays. Doesn't mean I won't stay out. Just means that if you crash at my place during the week, you'll be alone come morning. And I'm going to Warped on the Saturday after Poison. Shit, where is Ann staying? I might not have room after all. OH HOW I LONG TO HAVE MY OWN PLACE AGAIN!!! *cries*

2. I live with my parents.

oh and

3. My room is smelly (thanks to the flooding in the past) and the spare bed is only semi-comfortable.

But it's cheaper than a hotel. And my parents are nice people.


OH...and Bay City, from what I remember, is small and not scary like Flint.

I put in a word with the 'rents. I'm sure it will be fine. You'll probably be the least scary person I've brought into the house. Just today my friend Nikki was there. Facial piercings, tattoos EVERYWHERE, and a pink mohawk. It's all good. Hahaha.
