Sounds about right. I would have scored higher in the Upper Midwestern, but I refuse to call soda "pop."

I hate calling soda "pop." I haven't done it for a very long time (like, five years) and my sister always used to mock me for it until we went on vacation. At the restaurant, she asked what kind of pop they had, and the waiter stared at her. Now, she says soda or "soft drink." Hehehe.

My ex - AKA The Loser - used to mock me SO much for saying pop, that I just stopped saying it. That's good though, since I travel around so much.

Yeah, I got out of the "pop" thing because I had a lot of friends from the East Coast (and some from the South) who either teased me about it or got confused when I said it. It was easier to say soda.

I call all soft drinks coke, and it drives my husband crazy. It's a southern thing, one of the reasons I scored 30% Dixie. The other was ya'll, although I say "you guys" as well. My family moved to Mountain View, CA when I was 2, so I basically learned to talk out there. When we moved back to Bama when I was 7, none of my relatives could understand me, and I was regularly called a Yankee at school.
