Weekend recap
May. 1st, 2006 09:20 amOkay, so really, not much happened this weekend. It rained. And rained. And rained. And then rained some more. I saw a teeny, tiny, minuscule spot of blue sky last night and I got really excited. Sven said the rain will be over by tomorrow though, and I believe him.
Friday: I hung my new curtains, then puttered around the house all night. I desperately need to clean! Maybe on Thursday.
Saturday: Got up to order Pearl Jam tickets. I'm glad I did, as what's left seems to be far from the stage. Went to work and was stuck working with the woman I can't stand. That sucked. I managed to busy myself on the other side of the store most of the day. Got home, uploaded some music, read some of my book, enjoyed SNL, made a jillion T-Rex icons. Not very exciting.
Sunday: Rolled out of bed and forced myself to clean up and go out. I went to B&N, which probably wasn't a good idea. Somehow I ended up with quite a few books, none of which was our next book club book. I stopped by Chipotle and was on my way home when my mom called to ask if I'd stop over by the house. She's having a garage sale in a couple weeks and she's in this "everything must go!" mode. So, I helped her & my dad clean out the attic, tested bunches of Christmas lights to see if they worked, and started pricing a bunch of stuff. (Sidenote: my dad is getting weirder and weirder lately. He's taken to calling me dear a lot - something that I can't say has ever happened before. I think maybe he forgets if he's talking to me or my mother.) They fed me and I promised to come back tonight to finish some things up.
Okay, another sidenote. My mom is also getting rid of most of their illuminated plastic Christmas figures, since they never put them out any more. This includes the figures for the manger scene. My brave, genetically designed hunting dog, Riley, was downstairs with me and freaked out everytime I took one out of the box. Of course, this led to me terrorizing him with plastic sheep and camels. He was barking and growling and cowering until he finally couldn't take it anymore and ran away upstairs. I certainly feel protected when he's around. =(
Anyways, I watched TV and fiddled around on my computer for the rest of the night. It's an exciting life I lead.

Date: 2006-05-01 08:02 pm (UTC)That was so hilarious, some of the cartoons I've seen, but the others, did they really "previously" air or did they make them new for the show? Either way, I loved it, I just wish I remembered to record it.

Date: 2006-05-01 08:50 pm (UTC)No, all the cartoons were previouslt aired. Just the monologue and the stuff with the live cast members were new.
