Local folks! Is anyone else enamored with Sven Sundgaard? After reading this article, I'm even more in love with him. How can you not love a Minnesotan weather nerd named Sven Olaf?!? I will seriously watch all 3 news broadcasts if I know he's on that day. I feel compelled to yell "Sven!" whenever he comes on TV. I need help.

Must get me a Sven icon!

LOL must be a Weatherman thing coz I'm the same way about Dave Schwartz from the Weather Channel!! One time my ex turned on the TV to "that channel" as he calls it, and sure enough I'm going "DAVE!!!". He just looked at me and said "Dude, you have a crush on the WEATHERGUY?!"

Sven is pretty cute! This is my guy... he's goodlooking in that JFK Jr sort of way... http://www.weather.com/aboutus/television/ocms/schwartz.html Crushing on him for 10 years this coming June :-P

He's definitely very Scandinavian-looking, that's for sure. Is every other word out of his mouth "ja"? It should be...lol

Gotta say, Minnesota is full of extremes...you got all the uber-pale and blond Nordics, then you have all of the Native Americans, who are everything but blond and pale. It's weird I tell ya. I think the weirdest thing is when I go up there and some black dude goes "you betcha"...lol

Anyway, back to weatherboy. Can't say we have any weatherman hotness going on down here. The most popular weatherman in KC is a guy named Bryan Busby, who basically looks like Al Roker minus a hundred pounds.

Dude. Prince said "You betcha" at a concert and I almost fell over because I was laughing so hard. That pretty much defined Minnesota.

I can't say I have a crush on any of other news folk around here. I like the sports guy a lot because he's super funny, but I wouldn't say I have a crush on him.

I just about fell off my chair when I saw him for the first time a couple of nights ago. If I hadn't known better, I'd have thought it was a stage name meant to endear him to the Minnesotan masses. I hadn't realized his middle name was Olaf, but I suppose I should have guessed.

I saw his very first KARE 11 broadcast and was immediately "Who's that guy??" My dad is amused by my crush on him. Especially when I said "Sven lied to me" today, when it was cloudy and it wasn't supposed to be.

OMG I totally did the same thing when I first saw him, I was all like: "Who the hell is this guy??!"--Ooh, he's really cute!--I don't watch the news just for him though, I should try and catch the video of him though, and I did quite like when he had a Belinda shift too.

Hmm, a Sven icon, would be way coolies.

And there's nothing wring with "you bethca" I say it too, I also say "ooof-dah" as well.
