OMG! Headache!! Please, make it go away!

I really want to call in sick to work tonight, but there isn't really anyone to work for me. Sad. But I need to watch the ice skating!! Oh, and the new rumor swirling around Hallmark is that I might apply for the manager's position. To which I say: say what?!? The only slight advantage it has over my day job is that it's less than 10 mins from my place, so I'd save on gas money. Otherwise, the pay is shit, you get two whole sick days, 5 days of vacation, no health benefits and it's fucking retail. Oh yes, please. Sign me up. /sarcasm

Prince is playing a "secret show" on Sat night and I have no money. I'm still trying to figure out a way to go, as there were still tickets left the last time I checked. I guess I'm going to have to hold out hope that the summer tour rumors are true.

I'm pretty sure it's not in my job description to spend the day tagging artists/music over at last.fm, but that's what I've been doing anyways. It's an exciting life I lead.

I was offered a job as Books-A-Million as a manager before I took the Stupid Day Job. I turned them down for the same reasons. You have to work holidays, weekends. Worst of all, you have to work with CUSTOMERS. *shudder*

On top of all that, it was Books-a-Million.

Take care of yourself, Leigh. If you need to call in sick, do it; it's just Hallmark, right? I had some pretty rough headaches earlier this week and now I find I've got the full-blown 'flu' (you know what I mean :-). Greeting cards are so not worth it.

The problem is that there's really no one else to work if I call in. So, I went to work. No big deal. There was actually stuff for me to do tonight, so I wasn't bored either.

Well, we're not a corporate store, so technically I don't work for Hallmark. Still, you have no reason to worry. I have no intention of applying for the manager's job.
