A quick weekend wrapup

leighblackI felt like crap on Friday, and the freezing rain that had turned the roads into skating rinks was going to quadruple my driving time, so I decided not to go to work. I was okay with that decision. Once the ice melted, I ran some errands, incuding a stop at the evil Barnes & Noble. I really should know better than to go there, but I needed to get our book club book. $80 later I finally managed to leave the store. I had to work on Saturday. Blah. One of our stores closed, so I spent most of the day trying to put away the boxes and boxes of cards our corporate office sent us. I have horrible hangnails because of this. It did make the day pass pretty fast though, because otherwise there wouldn't have been much to do. Thanks todazeebean, I finally saw Walk the Line Sat night. I enjoyed it! I didn't think it was the greatest thing ever or anything, but it was definitely worth seeing. I still despise Reese Witherspoon with a passion.
Of course, I watched SNL with Steve Martin and Prince. And about 800 other celebrities who made cameos, as it was obviously a sweeps episode. ALEC BALDWIN!! 'Nuff said. Prince was fucking awesome! I hope he tours again this year. They needed to put him in the Prince Show sketch though. Duh.
Sunday wasauroram's Tea Party. I completely scrapped my entire outfit and hairdo about 5 mins before I left the house, because I'm like that sometimes. The party was very lovely! Laughter and fun were around in droves. As were tiny sandwiches and other yummy snacks. I have some photos, but since I didn't get permission, I won't post them. Too bad, because duckduck looked precious in her matronly dress and adorable pink bow. ;)
I flipped around between the Super Bowl and Crossing Jordan last night. Nothing really held my interest. The commercials were pretty blah. I wish I had known about the Puppy Bowl, because I totally would have watched that. Somehow I ended up watching Sister Act until 1am. =/
Today was rather blah. Except that I got my order from My Lip Stuff! I only ordered it on Thursday, so that was awesome! I highly recommend ordering from there. Everything is all natural and as long as you don't lick it all off, the lip balm lasts a LONG freaking time! I put this one on over a hour ago and I can still taste it.

Raspberry Lemonade - Not very lemony, but delicious nonetheless
Red Velvet Cake - again, not very strong, but the flavor is totally spot on
And a scent that's guaranteed to makeduckduck want to make out with me for hours on end, Cilantro - SOOOOOO good!

Sex on the Beach Booze Balm
My mom already confiscated this one from me, so I didn't get more than a whiff. She said it was really good though.
They also sent along a free "Mystery Mixture" sample. It's sweeter than I normally like, but it's pretty good.
I now have enough lip balm to last for quite a while! Well, as long as I don't lose them. Or run them through the washer. Or my mom steals more. =/
