leighblackI talked to Ann last night for a little while. It sounds like she's doing good. She graduates from school in 9 days and I'm really proud of her! So then she starts talking about Vegas for New Year's, because Marky Ramone is going to be there with his band. She knows him and wants to go. I tell her that I hate her. She tells me "You know, Adler's Appetite is on the show too." Long pause...then me "Umm, you do know who else is going to be there, right?" Ann: "No." Me: "Motochrist!! And Taime is working as DJ." Ann: "Oh, we are SO going!!" So, now I have a pusher about the New Year's show. She said that we could drive it if I meet her in Iowa. And stupid me is really starting to think about it. It's only 25 hours from here. Yes, I do know that I'm insane. But but but but but...it's New Year's! In Vegas!! With my Chaddy!!! It's so hard to resist the pull.
My main argument for not going was that I didn't think I had any vacation time left. I talked to my boss today, and I still have 5.86 days left. Huh? Where did those come from?!? I KNOW that is not right, but I'm not going to argue. I think between switching managers and jobs, some of my vacation requests must not have made it up to HR. oops! So sad. So, now I have the time off and I have the money. What's stopping me from going to Vegas?? ARRRRGGGHHH!!! *hits head on desk* no, no, no, no, no, NO, NO, NO!!!! Not a good idea, Leigh. I could totally see jail in someone's future if we were all in Vegas together.
I'm off to continue talking myself out of this whole idea...
