Did anyone else lose power last night from teh OMG big storm? I was just thinking "Hmmmm...it's getting bad out there. Maybe I should turn off my computer." when I was plunged into complete darkness. I had to use the light from my cell phone to locate my flashlight in the other room. I decided to just go to bed, but then couldn't sleep because I was freaking out that I wouldn't get up in the morning, even though I had set the alarm on my phone. Oh, the joys of being ultra left-brained. /sarcasm Power finally came back on around 12:30am and I finally fell asleep.

Right now, I'm watching the big, gray, rolling wall of clouds to the North, which look like they could easily sprout into a storm. And it's all gorgeous sunshine to the South. The weather really does have a hard time making up its mind around here.

I should probably try to do a proper update tonight. We'll see. I have important TV watching to do. It's the finale of Tommy Lee Goes to College!

in future, set the alarm clock on your mobile phone. Most phones will even sound their alarms if they're turned off (you might want to test that, I know Nokias do for certain, unsure of other models) That's how I got over that problem :)

Yeah, I did that. I was still (irrationally) afraid that it wouldn't wake me up in the morning, since I'm rather conditioned to wake up to my clock radio. Really, I knew I'd get up to my phone. I just freak out about it for some reason.

It's not like I'd get in trouble for being late to work anyways.
