I'm home!

Yes, I'm back home. And happy to be here. Even if my apartment is approximately 1000 degrees. =( This weekend was nice, and I didn't want to kill any of the members of my family, so I'd call it a success.

The new Peppermint Creeps cd was waiting for me in my mailbox. Whoever decided they should cover "Turning Japanese" is a genius.

I finished Dead Witch Walking and LOVED it! You guys were totally right. It's fabulous! I can't get the image of a tall, cool vampire driving a motorcycle with a mink & a rat riding on the gas tank out of my head. Makes me giggle whenever I think of it. =) I'm about a hundred pages into The Good, the Bad and the Undead already and love it too.

I'm going to wade through my email and f-list now. Wish me luck!

The "Turning Japanese" cover sounds even better live. :) I do dig the new CD, though I wish they would stop recycling old Sick Six Crush tunes and actually write an entire album's worth of new stuff. But it's not bad. I still haven't decided if I like it better than the first full-length, but you can tell that it's way better produced than that one.

So far, I don't like it as much as the first CD. Yes, the quality is much better. But the first CD just seems to have more fun songs. I'll have to play it a few more times tomorrow.
