leighblack: (Rent Movie - Moments so Dear)
[personal profile] leighblack
I, Leigh Black, (wait - can you make public declarations in your fake name?? Oh well...) after three years of frustration, have finally figured out how to fix my QuickTime player so that it doesn't sound like complete crap. *sobs* I'm so happy that I finally figured it out!! And equally embarrassed that I did figure it out sooner.

*happily goes back to watching the Hi-Res version of the Rent trailer with crystal clear sound*

Good for you! It's sort of like my LJ username discovery... you wonder why the hell you never figured it out earlier.

Please share the answer with those of us who are still living in the dark ages of wanting to beat Quicktime with a two-by-four? ::looks hopeful::

Essentially, go to Edit>Preferences>QuickTime Preferences. Select "Sound Out" and change it to Wave Out: Windows Preferred Device.

It all seems so easy now that I know!
