leighblackI am so unendingly bored right now. So far today I have spent about five hours emailing all the random photos & music I've d/l'ed on my work 'puter to my home 'puter. Now that's productive! But my 'puter is nice and clean now. No illegal downloading here, sir.
I was also entertained/irritated by the following conversation:
(For background, I administer Connexion - one of our online systems - and parts of Bennet - our internal system. No other systems, although someone keeps telling newbies that I do everything. Which is ultra-annoying.)
LO: CB set me up with access to the COL system yesterday.
Me: Okaaaay.
LO: Yeah, and I can't get it to work. I keep trying to log in...
Me: (interrupting) I can't really help you. I don't have anything to do with COL.
LO: Oh? Should I ask CB then?
Me: Well, if he's the one that set you up with access, then he'd be the one to contact if there's a problem.
LO: Oh, okay. Thanks.
Now, maybe I'm looking at this all wrong, but if someone gave me a login for something and it didn't work, I would go back to that person and say it didn't work. I would not call random people and tell them that it didn't work. But I guess that's just me.
