boredom

I am so unendingly bored right now. So far today I have spent about five hours emailing all the random photos & music I've d/l'ed on my work 'puter to my home 'puter. Now that's productive! But my 'puter is nice and clean now. No illegal downloading here, sir.

I was also entertained/irritated by the following conversation:
(For background, I administer Connexion - one of our online systems - and parts of Bennet - our internal system. No other systems, although someone keeps telling newbies that I do everything. Which is ultra-annoying.)
LO: CB set me up with access to the COL system yesterday.
Me: Okaaaay.
LO: Yeah, and I can't get it to work. I keep trying to log in...
Me: (interrupting) I can't really help you. I don't have anything to do with COL.
LO: Oh? Should I ask CB then?
Me: Well, if he's the one that set you up with access, then he'd be the one to contact if there's a problem.
LO: Oh, okay. Thanks.

Now, maybe I'm looking at this all wrong, but if someone gave me a login for something and it didn't work, I would go back to that person and say it didn't work. I would not call random people and tell them that it didn't work. But I guess that's just me.

And work is always boring. I think it's a RULE about work. Because I'm bored right now, too.

I dunno. I just don't get it. Crap like that happens all the time. My boss came over to my desk when I got back and told me I couldn't go on vacataion again. She didn't like covering for me because I get "the stupidest questions ever."

Work is not always boring. Just usually.

I get stuck with the retarded projects. "Hey, Kate. Go INDEX THE PAPER SUPPLY." Because I'm transperent when I'm doing nothing, whereas everyone else fakes it well.

My job? Always boring. Sigh.
