Last night, [livejournal.com profile] duckduck, [livejournal.com profile] auroram and myself traveled out to Bunker's on a school night. A girl at the bookstore's friend's boyfriend's band was playing. Holiday! Normally, that sounds like it would be a recipe for disaster. But no. They were really good!! I had a great time!

They had a trumpet(!), which seemed to be mainly so they could play "Ring of Fire."

They also played, besides their own stuff, Snoop Dogg, Ace of Base, Kelly Clarkson, The Buggles, and uhhh, other stuff. I know it sounds weird, but it was completely enjoyable!

From almost the moment we got there, the power of The Legend seemed to be working. ;) I think [livejournal.com profile] auroram was a little mystified because she's never seen The Legend in action before. But the singer started talking to me from the stage right away and ended up singing to me quite a bit. What can I say? I have some sort of magical powers, I guess.

Because we are easily suggestible, and there was alcohol consumed, we all bought a copy of their CD. The guys in the band all came over to chat with us and mingle. I introduced [livejournal.com profile] duckduck to the wonder that is the Jager Bomb, so we were pretty happy and giggly. The bass player is a major book geek and launched into a dissertation about how wonderful the B&N Bargain section is.

On the way home, we had a sing along in the car, featuring Kelly Clarkson and more 80's songs than you can shake a stick at. Good times!

They're playing around here like a bunch of times coming up, so I'm sure I'm going to see them again soon. (Like, say, Sat night) Wheeeee!

[livejournal.com profile] duckduck, who I hope doesn't mind that I posted this, because she looks adorable!

Okay, maybe I'm showing my naivete, but... What's a Jager Bomb?

Sounds like you had fun. ^_^ Hurrah.

It's a shot of Jagermeister (and the bartender poured a HUGE shot) dropped in a glass of Red Bull. They're meant to be slammed, and slammed fast, because they really don't taste so good.

I did have fun! It was so nice to go out! It just sucked because we had to leave so I would be able get up for work this morning.

...that sounds really pretty gross, I'm not going to lie. I mean... Yeah.

It's good you had fun, then. ^_^

I, too, hate having to leave good times early. That will be my night at D&D tonight - I have to be functional for class tomorrow, or my prof will throw things. I'm sure of it.

It's not about tasting yummy. It's about being drunk fast.

Avoid professor tantrums at all costs!

Well, it probably would work to get you drunk fast. AND on a caffiene high. What a combo!

Professor tantrums annoy me. I had one of my profs go APE on us earlier this term for not doing our reading. It was just like, "Wow. Are you tweleve?" And it's a shame, too, because I love her dearly.

Yeah, it's bad to have like ten of them because it makes you equally sleepy and ultra-awake. You end up with the shakes.

I can't imagine SURVIVING ten of them. o_O

Yeah, you have to space them out. But it is possible.

It boggles my mind.

(Though I could use some caffiene right now. Want to finish checking my e-mail but so ready to fall asleep on the keyboard...)

I think I look sort of dorky, but really what's new there? When I smile my eyes squinch up really small, which is the one thing I have in common with JC Chasez. Aside from our mutual admiration of Chris Kirkpatrick's fine, extremely pattable ass, but that's something we share with a lot of other people, so it's really not that big of a deal.

I'm making a mix cd. Which Holiday song to include??

Dude, I think Party Love is about JAMIE!! But it doesn't fit with the mood of the rest of the cd. I need one that is REALLY bouncy!

You forgot to mention the ties. And the synchronized bouncing.

You do not look dorky.

Please don't mention CK's ass in my journal ever again. Thanks.

Ummmmmm...it's too bad that Mexico song is on the next CD. 'Cause that was bouncy!

*sigh* Synchronized bouncing!

Pssst.

Dude, I have to tell you something.

Chris Kirkpatrick has a fine ass. Hence it is referred to, in fandom, as the FKA.

Ooops. Sorry. My bad.

;)

Can't blame me for trying for new converts.

Also, I'm involved in some temporary insanity right now, so you'll have to excuse me.
