Okay, so I thought it was kind of ridiculous that they already brought Rose back in episode 1. How about some build up? And now Martha's already back in episode 4? Don't you want to wait a bit for that kind of thing?? Let Donna have a couple more episodes to gain her footing?

And seriously? Again, it's episode FOUR. And we have Donna with a tearful family reunion and a flashback sequence. Over, you know, the last three whole episodes. It's just all weirdly out of place. She hasn't been gone that long. Episode 8, maybe.

Oh, and Martha? I do like you. But:

For realz, honey. You're a moron.

And for the record, I totally agree with all the Doctor + Ross = OTP sentiment. Oh Doctor. You and your pretty boys! (seriously, if they really do bring a certain teaboy in for a cameo in the last episode, I may die from the pretty)

In any case, I fell asleep watching it last night and had to try again today. I didn't like the episode any better this time. =/ Sitting through the 2nd part next weekend could be very painful, but I'll watch it anyways.

Oh God. I've turned into a true Who fan. =/ Bitching yet still watching.

*sniffs* I'm so proud! It seems like only yesterday you were thinking of looking at this show half your Flist kept going on about....

Yeah. Didn't exect much from the ep, and didn't get it. Whoever keeps comissining Raynor's scripts needs to be beaten severely.

Ha ha. I guess it doesn't take long in this fandom.

It's sad because I've enjoyed the first three episodes a lot. Kinda puts a full stop on the flow of the episodes.

Yeah, but when you look at it, it's no worse than s27/s1 when we suddenly came across Aliens of London / World War III and the flatulent idiot Enemy Of The Week. Here's hoping we get over it and bury it as quickly as possible.

I'm really looking forward to Moffat's two parter. Apparently it makes Blink look like a fucking Disney movie

The Doctor/Ross is completely an OTP. I loved the goofy banter to bits.

But yeah, you're right about the Donna thing. Actually, Martha being there didn't bother me as much as the flashback, because it completely felt out of place. I get it in the sense that Donna's seen some crap she didn't want to--Pompeii and the Ood weren't exactly the "meeting Shakespeare" kind of easing into life as a companion--but really? It felt like a bad version of "This is your life."

I'm wondering when Rose will really rear her ugly head for more than a two-second cameo. I'm secretly hoping the cameo will be it, but I have more sense than that. Sigh.

Having Martha there didn't bother me exactly, it just seemed a little soon. Like they weren't sure people would like Donna so they threw Martha in right away to hold some interest.

But gods, THE FLASHBACK. I'm glad it bothered someone else! It was just sooooo unnecessary.

Uhh, you might be right about that Rose thing.

Yeah, but at least she wasn't obnoxious about it. I mean, if it were Rose, you know it would have been painful. That is how I compare everything: it may be bad, but it's not Rose.

In the same way, THE FLASHBACK WAS AWFUL. Like, for serious. I did like the whole thing with her family and The Doctor, though. "YOU!" That was funny.

I was looking up information and I suppose I'm wrong but I am still pretending I'm right. (And I want the Agatha Christie episode. Like, now.)

Oh, I don't know. I don't mind Rose. But I would rather have Martha back, for sure. Or you know, Jack. ;) (my Jack withdrawal is pretty serious)

Okay, yeah. The 'You!' was funny. The rest of it? Not so much.

Well, you're right in that Rose is going to be more than a cameo appearance.

See, I can't stand Rose. But I realize I'm a big mean fangirl for that. And I cannot wait until we have Jack back. I miss him a ton. So we're both guilty. (Seriously, why is there so little TW in the world?)

I know that rose is going to be more than a cameo, and that Martha is going to be in a lot more episodes, and that eventually, the Doctor is going to be overloaded with companions. Which I kind of think has hilarious potential.

It's not like you're alone in the Rose hatred. She inspires the most intense love and hate I've seen for a character in a long time.

If the rumors are true and TW season 3 is only going to be 5 episodes, you may find me curled in up and crying in the corner at some point.

Of course, that only intensifies my desire to go to London to see JB in Barnum next year. I swear it's going to happen.

Ahhh yes. The Companion Clusterfuck! It's going to be interesting. Or a super huge hot mess.

I am not entirely sure why she does. It's sort of a mystery. It's like you either hate or love her. Very few people are on the fence. (You are a rare breed.)

Five episodes? FIVE? Oh no. JB, don't you dare go all busy with your other nonsense and mess over TW. What will we do with ourselves? (Of course, I shouldn't necessarily blame JB, but I will anyway.) I keep seeing reviews of his concerts and things and desperately want to see him in person in something. It's not fair. (And the Rift-con reviews! Oh MY.)

There's no way it won't be at least somewhat fun. Because even a DW mess is a fun mess.

It's not JB's fault. He's said all along that TW is his highest priority. But if they're not going to be shooting then he's going to do other stuff. It's not really clear who is making the decision. Nobody's really willing to talk about it. Heck, they still haven't officially confirmed season 3.

I love that you are my contact for these things but at the same time, you're scaring me! TW has too big a fan base not to confirm it--I can't imagine it's in numbers danger of being cancelled--but I don't know how the BBC does such things and it makes me nervous.

And JB loves being the leading man, doesn't he? I read Anything Goes and his whole thing about getting to be Number 1 on TW. Attention whore.

Now I'm going to be obsessively worried about TW. Look what you've done! ;)

Oh no. I mean, don't freak out about it or anything. Season 3 is going to happen. RTD said it would at John's Cardiff concert. The BBC is just horrible about officially announcing things. It's just a question of what season 3 is going to look like pretty much. There's also rumors that they'll shoot both 3 & 4 back to back. Who knows??

If I'd Do Anything is still on when JB's DW episodes are on then there will be THREE HOURS of JB on Saturday nights on BBC1. (well, if that dumb game show is still on too, I have no idea how many episodes it has) Barrowman Broadcasting company, indeed.

RTD is such an odd little man. I'm more and more sure of it every time I hear anything about him. And I'm not sure I like the way they are playing around with the series lengths; isn't DW series 5 only going to be three specials? It just bums a fangirl out.

I would totally be all for THREE HOURS of JB. The girlfriend was watching TV on Saturday and announced JOHN BARROWMAN IS ON MY TV and I lost some of her attention while she watched I'd Do Anything (I finally got her to watch this seasons' TW and now she's hooked again). He's taking over the BBC and the funny thing is that he's part American. Oh, John.

Yep, DW is going to be three specials. And that is because of Ten-Inch Tennant and his whole 'I'm gonna do Shakespeare' thing. I'm sure they'd be more than happy for a whole series of Who.

I still haven't watched any of the I'd Do Anything episodes. I have them all though. I see some sort of marathon in my future.

From: [identity profile] amazonqueenkate.livejournal.com
Oh, Tennant. You silly man. I can't really picture you doing anything but Who and I guess that's your whole point of getting away so you don't get type-cast, but still. Come on.

I don't even really know what I'd Do Anything is. It's convincing Li to like JB more than she did a few weeks ago, so I'll take what I can get. (She mocks me for being a fangirl, and then today, owned to the fact she'd been Googling images of JB and of Scott for hours. I AM WINNING.)

It's a reality show to pick an Oliver and a Nancy for a new production of Oliver!. Or something like that.

Aaah, it's another of the singing shows. I think I may have to invest in this. (If only because I have only seen clips of his others and am kicking myself for that.)
