seimaisin and I went back to the State Fair today, where I finally met

divachickie. We ate food, we walked through a SEA of people, I bought a couple new purses, I went on the most awesome midway ride ever, I got way more sunburned than I thought I was, I ran into one of my best friends from high school. We left.

Then we ventured out to the Triple Rock, where we managed to miss a few of the opening bands. But we did catch Self Against City and really dug them. I would have bought their CD, but they didn't have any. Houston Calls were the headliner and they were awesome! But they only played for 40 mins, if that much. Boo. Their keyboardist was extremely entertaining. The crowd was extremely lame, but what do you expect on Labor Day weekend? Most everyone is up north and the people who are in town are at the Fair. I bought a Houston Calls T-shirt and chatted with their very nice merch dude. I would have bought their CD, but they also did not have any. WTF?

Because we are lame, we went to B&N after the show. I bought two books I didn't need. Now I am home and rather exhausted. But we are going back to the Fair again tomorrow for my birthday so I can finally, finally meet Sven. It's going to happen!
