HOLY CRAP!
Jan. 24th, 2007 10:11 amI just bought a new laptop! Specifically, this one. It's far from the highest quality, but has pretty much everything I was looking for. And I got a free photo printer too! Should be here on Monday or Tuesday. That gives me the weekend to clean up the files on my desktop and figure out what I want to keep.
Yipee!!

Exciting!!!

Date: 2007-01-25 04:36 am (UTC)And you are smart to get one before you're stuck with Vista.... it is a very, very different animal. Not as much of an issue for going with a laptop, but if you tried to move any hardware from a desktop to a new Vista desktop, you'd probably find yourself screwed. As much as the kept some stuff at least similar between 95-XP, they shot it all to hell with Vista (example... to get to printers from the Windows Start button, you have to go thru "Sound and Hardware".... wtf???). But, I guess, nice for the current job stability of all the doc we have to re-work for Vista....
