Jan. 21st, 2007 10:04 pmMy non-spoilery Crossing Jordan wrap up:
*yawn*
Rehash of the Elaine storyline. Lily's storyline is stupid. Nigel was the only entertaining part of the episode, and that was pretty limited.
Boring. I expect so much more.
Next week looks good though, even without the whole "who's going to die?" thing.

Date: 2007-01-22 04:19 am (UTC)There were some excellent moments (which I'll expand on at the CR boards), definitely, but nothing overshadowed the "blah" of the episode. Of course, it could be partially due to the fact that the people I was watching it with were talking every time there weren't commercials. Argh.
(Is that an intentionally Nigel/Jordan icon, or am I just obsessed?)
Re: spoilery
Date: 2007-01-22 04:35 am (UTC)Good luck with that. I can't stand going over to CR anymore. Almost everyone there drives me crazy. Or maybe just the same two people who post the most annoy me to no end. Whatever.
Well, I am mainly a Nigel/Bug shipper, but I will always ride the Nigel/Jordan ship too. I like them together.
Re: spoilery
Date: 2007-01-22 04:49 am (UTC)CR can be full of drama, and if CJ was any sort of popular fandom, we'd get on fandom_wank, I'm sure. I'm mainly over there for updates from Chad that don't make it on his blog, and various news snippets/ratings info. I try to stay away from the personal stuff. (And there's one person on CR who just won't stop being negative.)
I can see where the Nigel/Bug comes from, definitely. :) Nigel/Jordan is what I swear by, but I have the sinking feeling that if it ever became canon, it would end horribly and Nige would have his heart broken.
(Sorry for the long rambling comment!)
Re: spoilery
Date: 2007-01-22 05:00 am (UTC)Huh. I wasn't even paying attention enough to notice the camera work. And I do usually notice that stuff. I like the Roxanne Dawson episodes the best though. Hers are always beautifully shot.
Oh believe me, I know all about CR drama. That used to be me. Some people take the show WAY too seriously! And just can't let go of the Jordan/Woody thing. I used to go after one person in particular all the time, but it was kind of pointless since she would just start making personal attacks against me that had nothing to do with what we were arguing about. Kind of like arguing with a 10 year old. Although, much to her chagrin, I imagine, she got kicked off the board with her old username and I never even got a warning or even a message from the mods. Because I know how to wank within the rules. =)
Anyhow, I just usually stay away. It keeps my blood pressure at a more normal level.
Oh there are definite Nigel/Bug tones in the show. The sperm bank incident? The kiss last episode? They're truly in love! =) Too bad the show would never actually go in that direction.
And yes, Nigel/Jordan would end badly. Very badly. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy it. Anything to keep her away from Woody.
(Feel free to ramble all you want!)
Re: spoilery
Date: 2007-01-22 05:22 am (UTC)Mmm...camera work. *falls in love*
Next week's looks AMAZING, so I'm really excited.
I tend to stay away from CR once it gets too scary. For now, though, I just avoid the
Woody/Jordan shipperscrazy angry people's posts.I guess you could say I'm a passive Nigel/Bug shipper. Heh. I can't remember which episode it was (I'm tempted to say it was the "let's make a tv show about a morgue!" episode), but I remember seeing Bug and Nigel at the Pogue sharing drinks in some booth in the back, and I was thinking "Oh, that's so slashy."
Oh, I would definitely enjoy Nigel/Jordan if it was in any way canon, no matter how much it would hurt to watch. Nigel breaks my heart every time he looks at Jordan in that one way (I'm hoping you know what I mean). I just want her to acknowledge, for once, all that Nigel's done for her! I mean, he's been arrested twice for helping her. I thought I'd remembered Steve Valentine saying something about touching on that this season, but it could just be wishful thinking. *wishes anyway*
Re: spoilery
Date: 2007-01-22 05:37 am (UTC)One of my very favorite shots on the show was during There's No Place Like Home II and Macy broke the shower door to release the woman who was sealed in. There was just a rain of water and shattered glass and it was GORGEOUS.
I looked over CR a little tonight and not too many people seem too excited about the episode. So there's a few sane people over there still. =)
Yep, that's the episode. Nigel caresses Bug's hand in a very friendly way. (I used to have an icon of that! I wonder where it went...)
Oh yeah, I know that look! They've really dropped that whole thing. Like they've dropped pretty much everything about Nigel. I think used to have that video where Steve mentioned how Nigel would confront Jordan about the whole "I worship you" think up at Crossing Nigel, but I think I took it down. I'm sure I still have it around here somewhere. But yes, he did say it was going to happen. During season...5? Maybe 4? I don't really remember.
Re: spoilery
Date: 2007-01-22 05:45 am (UTC)That look still exists, sometimes. Not so much this season, but in DLMTW he had a few good moments with her.
I've been looking for that video for over a year! If you happen to find it, would you mind sending me a copy? (The thing is, Nigel technically confronted her about it in a really roundabout way in "Pandora's Trunk (Part II)," but nothing came of it. And I know the interview was far more recent than season 2. Maybe it'll happen this season? It probably got pushed to season 7, though, presuming we get one.)
Re: spoilery
Date: 2007-01-22 05:55 am (UTC)And with that, I am off to bed! I have to get up in about five hours! =/
Re: spoilery
Date: 2007-01-22 06:08 am (UTC)I guess I'd...er..misheard what had been said, since I hadn't seen that video in so long! So he didn't say (next season), but "he'll have to talk about it at some point." So here's to hoping that Steve will co-write an episode again, yes. I'm really hoping it'll be dealt with at some point before the show ends.
But then again, that's what fanfiction's for.
I can still hope. *crosses fingers*
