unrelatedly, i think i remember you saying that you convertered those awesome shooter shows from flac to mp3, and i dl'd a ray lamontagne show this afternoon that's in flac format and omg, the files are HUGE, and i'm really hoping you might be able to help me out with how to convert them. *crosses fingers* am i on crack, or do you know this magic?

I did indeed convert the Shooter boots from flac to mp3. I followed this tutorial (http://www.simplehelp.net/2006/08/14/how-to-convert-flac-files-to-mp3-using-windows/), using WinAmp and iTunes. It was somewhat time consuming, but easy.

If you can't figure it out, or don't have those programs, let me know. I'll be happy to convert it for you tomorrow night, if needed. =)

okay, yeah, that looks like something i could do... thanks! also, another friend suggested some software that supposedly does this one easy step, which would also be sweet, if it works! uhm. are you down with pirated software? i'd be happy to share it if i get it!

Yeah, I know there's software that'll do it in one step. I just didn't feel like downloading and installing anything just to use for that. If you wanted to share though, I'd take it. =)

okay, i tried this last night, and it worked! i don't know how long it took - i started it up and then went right to bed, lol - but it didn't crash my system, so that's a HUGE point in it's favor, as far as i'm concerned! plus, it worked. *g*
