leighblackI've been able to feel it since this morning. That little tickle in the back of my throat. It's been getting a little bit worse as the day has gone on. My glands are slightly swollen and I have a low-grade fever. I'm definitely getting sick. Crud. Crud. Crud. I'll be sick for the next two months now and there's nothing I can do about it. =(
One of my CubeMates - one I actually really like - was let go this morning. Errr, technically his position was eliminated. I couldn't tell you why he was let go. He works hard and is super intelligent. Someone we should definitely keep around. I'm sure it's all down to his salary needing to be eliminated. How sad is that? He graciously agreed to stay for a few hours today to close out some things and pass things along. I would have been out of here 30 secs after they gave me my severance package. Our boss, the one I never ever see or talk to, still hasn't been over to talk to him, as far as I can tell. That's pretty shitty. HR let him go and now he's been talking to the GayCubeMate for a while about what's out there to work on. ChickCubeMate picked a bad day to call in sick.
That's all. Maybe the day will get better later. I doubt it.
