Concerning Halloween

In previous years, my work has held a costume contest and given out fabulous prizes. Two years ago, I dressed up as a devil and won 2nd place.



That prize was a $50 gift card to Buca Di Beppo. Yum! Last year, I was Elphaba, and I won first place.



That prize was a $75 gift card to Buca. Not bad, eh? Definitely worth dressing up. This year's prize is a trophy. WTF? That's kind of a sharp downgrade. And instead of a pizza or sub lunch like we usually have, we're having hot dogs. Huh?? Needless to say, I haven't put a lot of effort into making a costume last year. Still, it's not right for it to be Halloween and not dress up. I managed to find my silver fangs and my silver hair paint, so I'm going to be some sort of silver draped vamp I guess. Silver eye shadow & liner, silver jewelry, and silver curls in my hair. A black shirt, my black & red skirt, white face paint and blood red lips & nails should round everything out. Nothing special, but still something.

I'm really excited. They wrote Halloween stories that are due tomorrow. I am going to have them sit in a circle and share and eat candy and do Halloween Madlibs. We're going to have a good time. :)
