So far, I'd have to say today is going pretty craptacularly. This not does bode well for what I'm going to hear from my mechanic about my poor car.


Today is office appreciation day (or some crap like that) and we're having some big outing to go bowling. But they made sure to send out missives that jeans were still NOT allowed today. Isn't this supposed to be some fun, festive thing? I would think that would mean we could live a little and wear jeans for a day. Come on!

Don't mind me. I'm just grumpy.

Sounds like I'm not the only one in Office Hell. Don't you love that crap? Let's have a "fun" company function... And then make you feel like you're 12 years old and are being told that you can't wear your black Krokus t-shirt to Grandma's Thanksgiving Dinner. I still haven't heard about my car. That could be either good, or very very bad.

Office Hell pretty much defines today. I have two different people right now that I just want to send an email to that says "You're a moron and I hate you." But I will try to refrain.

My head hurts and I just want to go home. I really, really do not want to go bowling. Maybe I can sneak out.

Hey, that sounds vaguely familar. We are allowed to wear jeans this Friday, if we donate $5 to the American Cancer Society. Thing is, the rest of our dress code still applies, so I still have to wear a black blazer and dress shoes with my jeans.

They did graceously say that we could bring jeans to change into when we get to the bowling alley. Gee, thanks. If this place wasn't 45 mins from home, I'd just start slamming shots as soon as I walk in the door.

Maybe there's something in the air. It was shrieking, unhappy baby day at the bookstore today, and that last hour it was kind of shrieking, unhappy auroram and taylorea day, too :-)

Glad the car thing worked out. And at least the day is done - I hope that's as cheering a thought for you as it has been for me. Alas, it is only Tuesday.

Boo. That sucks for you guys. My day vastly improved once I left the office and got to start drinking on company time.

I'm frightened that it's only Tuesday. I'm swamped and supposed to start doing someone else's work this week. Not sure when that's going to happen exactly.
