Day 03 → Your favourite television program

Even though I'm kind of a TV whore, this is a completely easy question for me. Homicide: Life on the Street told the tale of a Baltimore Homicide unit and the challenges they faced working in a city with one of the highest homicide rates in the US. But it was much more than that. The characters were highly realistic and the writing was top notch. The creators went on to work on The Wire, which is regarded as one of the best television shows ever, so you know that it was some quality programming.

I didn't actually start watching until around season 3, but it didn't take much to get me hooked. Andre Braugher's Frank Pembleton will do that do you, although Kyle Secor's Tim Bayliss eventually became my favorite character. I began to religiously watch every week, even through the not quite so stellar sixth & seventh seasons. I own the deluxe complete box set with all 7 seasons, the TV movie and the L&O cross-over episodes and I've watched all of them multiple times.

Also, this is where John Munch's character started and who doesn't love him? He's still my favorite part of SVU!
