I just found ten bucks in the back packet of my pants. I have no idea how it got there, but I'm not going to complain. That means Jimmy John's for dinner tonight.

What is not good is that I cannot find my jump drive. Where could it have gone?? I always put it back in my laptop bag when I put my 'puter away at the end of my work day. =/ It's not that big a deal except that I have to use IE at work again until I can replace it. Oh, the horror!! Although, I wonder if I can't get the portable Firefox to work on my laptop since it doesn't actually have to be installed. Hmmm...

Also, using Crow T. Laptop at home only makes me realize even more how much my work laptop sucks. IT HAS A PENTIUM THREE!

Also, the work laptop also needs a name so I can distinguish them. I think Craptop is fitting.

Also, I totally want to change my el jay layout. I can't decide between Bill Hicks and MST3K. I have a feeling Bill Hicks will win though.

Also, I should probably get back to work, since I'm a little swamped yet again. I really need to take a few days off next month so I don't tear my hair out.

Contemporary, Historical or Paranormal?
Historical and paranormal, please. I will read contemporary when authors I like write them (but why, Lisa Kleypas? WHY??) but I rarely like them very much. I probably read more historicals than paranormals, but I like the pararoms more. It's pretty hard to find or create an original historical plot at this point. Pararoms have a lot of room for creativity.

Hardback, Trade Paperback or Mass Market Paperback?
Mass markets are cheaper, of course, so they are certainly easier to buy. But hardbacks are so much prettier! If I really want to read it, I guess if doesn't matter. I'll buy it however it comes.

Heyer or Austin??
Ummmm, I've never read anything by either of them. Yes, I've never read Jane Austin. I don't really read classics. *ducks*

Amazon or Brick & Mortar?
Brick & mortar. I really only go to Amazon to find books that are out of print. I much prefer to go to the bookstore because I am impatient and want the book NOW.

First romance novel you ever remember reading?
I honestly have no idea what the name was or who wrote it, but I remember some of the plot. The heroine was a pampered city girl and the hero had to take her somewhere against her will. I totally remember how he had to rub salve on her sore muscles after the hours on horseback. Of course, they fell in luuuuuurve and everything was happy. I think I was 12 and stole it out of my mom's collection of romances with horrible 80's covers.

Alphabetize by author, alphabetize by title or random?
I keep my books organized by subject (Vamps, Romance and Others, since the vamps and romances have their own bookcases), then by size (because it's easier to shelve mass markets all together) and then alphabetical by author. It works for me.

Keep, throw away or sell??
KEEP. I keep pretty much all of my books. I have to really, really hate it to get rid of it. (I'm looking at you, Wideacre)

Read with dustjacket or remove it?
Remove it. It can't get damaged!

Sookie Stackhouse or Anita Blake?
Anita. I've tried to get into the Sookie books, but they just don't call to me too much. Anita means early Anita, however. Not whatever it is she's become now.

Stop reading when tired or at chapter breaks?
I try to make it to chapter breaks, but that doesn't always happen. Sleep wins sometimes.

Buying choice: Book Reviews, recommendations or browse?
Browsing and recommendations. I only look through reviews to see what's coming out. I don't really read them.

Tidy ending or cliff-hanger?
Cliff-hanger, I suppose. Though most books I read have tidy endings. The anxiousness of waiting for the next book after a cliff-hanger is fun. I'm already aching for the sixth Kim Harrison book and the fifth one doesn't come even out for about six weeks yet. How am I going to make it??

Morning reading, afternoon reading, or evening reading?
Evening reading, usually. I read every night before going to bed. But curling up with a book on a Sunday afternoon is a lovely way to spend a day.

Series or stand alone?
I really have no preference. I read both. Though I do hate when authors continue on with series long after the books have gotten to be horrible. (that's you that I'm glancing at, LKH and Anne Rice)
