Another music poll

If you can't tell, I'm working on new mix CDs to bring to work. I'm getting tired of the CDs I've been carrying around, and I'm sure my coworkers are tired of showtunes. So, my next couple CDs are going to be GOOD cover songs. Covers seem to be all the rage right now, although I can't stand any of the Korn covers or Manson's "Personal Jesus." I pretty much know which songs I'll be using, but I'd like to see your suggestions in case there's songs I'm forgetting. There will be two CDS: one that's more low-key and acoustic (with songs like the Pumpkins' "Landslide" and the Cowboy Junkies' "Sweet Jane") and one that's more rock music (such as Manson's "Tainted Love" and FP's "You're so Vain").

In case you're interested, my favorite cover songs are Pearl Jam's "I've Got a Feeling" and Kik Tracee's "Mrs. Robinson" and perhaps the Newlydead's "Cities in Dust."

And I totally can't believe I forgot Hugh's "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" on my Christmas CDs. I must have been asleep!

Quiet meetings with all the managers, followed by quiet meetings for individual departments. That's right, kids! It's another reorg for my day job. I think it's the fourth one this year. And I couldn't even begin to count how many there have been since I started at this place. People tend to get all worried and stuff, but I've been through so many with no real affects to my job, that I just don't really care. I can't make it to my department's meeting, as I have to leave in order to make it to B&N on time, but my boss told me that was fine. So it must not be too big of a deal. Although, that must be why the managers were collecting SOPs together for our department. Just another way to prove that we're necessary, I suppose. I get copies of all the Termination forms and I haven't seen any yet today, so there must not be layoffs or anything. Now I'm just curious about what's going on, but not enough to stay late.

Just another day in Cubeville...

I really need a nap. Though I suppose napping at my desk doesn't make a good impression.
